Police arrest two men after complaint of smelly truck carrying 1,500 pot plants

Police say they got a tip Thursday night from a citizen who told them he'd been driving behind a cube van that was giving off a strong odour of marijuana.& U3 J% |, c" @( v$ u* y! D6 h

Officers who responded to the call said they also smelled the pot plants about half a block before they pulled over the van.+ O' a, x. M8 u) C- V

Police say there were up to 1,500 mature marijuana plants tied in bundles inside the van.

5 R+ U4 o$ I3 o7 GRoughly 400 kilograms of pot was taken from the vehicle and the driver and a passenger were arrested without incident.
