8 L& O3 m- A) F/ h- i, o. uEDMONTON - Two men are facing charges after Edmonton police pulled over a truck filled with freshly cut marijuana plants.

Police say they got a tip Thursday night from a citizen who told them he'd been driving behind a cube van that was giving off a strong odour of marijuana.

Officers who responded to the call said they also smelled the pot plants about half a block before they pulled over the van.0 U: Q, Z" T! [4 v0 `) c" u
3 D8 q' u6 S- F; tPolice say there were up to 1,500 mature marijuana plants tied in bundles inside the van.* }+ U1 G6 K, {% Q+ G8 g" a

Roughly 400 kilograms of pot was taken from the vehicle and the driver and a passenger were arrested without incident.

Charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking have been laid against Dihn Xuan Luu, 44 and Deng Xuan Dihn, 51. |
