2 n! J: g6 I0 _9 P# _, gTHE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
Eligibility Criteria
3 ~0 J* d9 j6 P( j) f# eAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
; V6 _1 p; H$ O•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
4 s. U8 O* m+ B' T•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
$ n( @9 W5 ~  W. N+ K•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
9 N! R9 R9 J7 E; b6 R' N9 k•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada
' T3 o/ E0 I6 t4 ^5 u- t8 q! E•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
•Lack access to professional networks
* z6 z) ?0 _# u% e# g9 F- _•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
Time Commitment
" @+ S* _' q6 f  n$ e" S# lThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
