+ d2 _0 d/ ]9 a, ~6 jTHE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
# e. L# z/ }) t1 y" V7 n$ VThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
Eligibility Criteria
+ L* k+ v+ b8 UAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
' v5 z- P; T# o" w/ i6 m6 V•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
: J- @; @$ K& P+ E6 y•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
% P8 _: c- }# O" f+ _•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
# W4 V8 E6 I+ y0 h0 _% i•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
! A! d, A; L' E6 P- {•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
" w  x- G0 P; Y8 }•Lack access to professional networks
•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
Time Commitment
; U: K; \) v" X9 r5 h- t6 x, p3 VThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
