Position Overview  
5 X, `8 l1 P5 l+ T( ]% z The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).

9 q- A: H& `( I# E# ~, q* g: L -  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
0 ?/ B( g- f( v  F) }) C, A7 U-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
& d& c/ W0 b( m  e5 B/ _& T% N  p-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
" d4 R& \: ^9 e( i# V) `6 Y-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;
-  Work in a team-oriented atmosphere and contribute to the ongoing success of the Balzac Complex;

Education/Experience  
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
* W+ r* L6 }+ [9 _) f9 n-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
+ B7 Y6 _; U9 g/ J! ?) X. I$ J1 A-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
/ w7 L6 U$ F- }-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
! j+ s) B+ F% w' T0 v8 o: a. |8 J-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
: Z6 {) [3 E/ U" ?-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
