Field Operator - Balzac

Position Overview  
The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).

4 Z. J& F% O- G* @ -  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
/ q3 l, _* q7 G3 a& P-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
) G6 y9 }) @( c# ]6 R' l: v! k-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
; Z8 O8 T4 F, k  `" T5 E6 ^  n-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
8 ^2 j1 b7 \& z5 i-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;
' j0 e9 E: A; m0 [, t-  Work in a team-oriented atmosphere and contribute to the ongoing success of the Balzac Complex;

9 S% D! I$ q$ Y2 X: q3 B - Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
7 \* ]7 Z' @/ u7 Q8 p-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
/ `) ?! U* K0 `4 Z! Z  I9 ?-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
! I  K; q8 s# A0 {6 x' ~0 E-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
