The first one is newer but on a smaller lot, walkout basement is more desirable however a downside does exist-- buried high pressured gas line under the green belt/walking trail (if my memory is right). The 2nd one is older in age but located in a good area. By viewing the photos, its maintenance looks fine, if carpeting is the only issue, just replace it and you will be fine.

6 K2 \+ ~" u% q+ U9 iExplosion? Burst? Leaks? chance is very minimal but gas line is there and I just don't feel comfortable. My philosophy is: there are so many fishes in the water, why pick this one? Same reason for not choosing to live near Hi-voltage Power lines/towers.
