/ J6 g0 O9 A; xThe Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Heinz Canada are warning parents about ‘Heinz Mixed Cereal, Stage 2, From 6 Months’. The best before date codes located on the top left hand corner of the package are ‘BB/MA 10 DE 26’ and ‘BB/MA 10 DE 29’.
" s" |& a ]8 V. PNo illnesses have been reported from consuming the cereal. Heinz Canada says that the cereal may contain elevated levels of Ochratoxin A (OTA). 1 E! d4 O7 r8 q" Z& V1 Z, I5 P
* W" Z, D4 O( Z9 tIn a news release, CFIA says Ochratoxin A is a mycotoxin produced by fungi that can grow in food such as grains, grapes and coffee beans and has been classified by as a possible human carcinogen.

CFIA says that if a child has consumed the food, there is no need to seek medical attention since the substance is not harmful when eaten as part of a healthy diet over the short term.+ n9 J0 V; N% E6 s: ]+ c7 p
