To qualify for an Alberta Qualification Certificate based on work experience, a person must:
" m% U, @4 |: H }8 d( n* C* ~ v8 N& F$ z8 w: d1 p
have at least 8,775 hours and 72 months of ‘hands-on’ work experience as an electrician : x4 d) c, X/ H; |6 Q1 G
Time spent on supervisory or foreman duties, counter work, heading the tool crib, or on a training course is NOT counted as ‘hands-on’ work experience.

complete the Qualification Certificate - Work Experience Application and submit it to an Apprenticeship and Industry Training Office

3 @) |- b& A' `" O; E( E5 g, [This application fee covers the verification and assessment of the applicant's work experience hours/months as well as one attempt at the Qualification Certificate theory examination.
