Terms: Full-time (35 hours per week).

9 q0 p* T+ R# A% G) sResponsibilities:
-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
9 Z  y9 V8 e) C$ g-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
- `4 ~0 _, i& G+ I-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
7 I6 h1 u/ j# L( u6 O-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
+ B* w! O% ]+ R3 E-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
7 Z6 Z# r/ E/ ~8 e- E' `-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

Assets:
2 F1 P) v) W( Q9 l4 W4 o- j% r, W-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
-        Skills in marketing & promotions
-        Some evening and weekend work may be required
