- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
; F$ n3 u& U% U; t1 G' A z6 y- [- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling! x4 d: l% H: y$ ]; ?
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups2 U& p1 z% J$ D$ I+ R
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
/ \9 X9 i2 T" Q. C. L8 q' _- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health- p9 _( t# `" z7 m" ~) m& A9 o+ F2 U

Key Qualifications:' d/ {( b3 i, Y; l6 |) n
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences0 V* q" E! B' n) f* `/ ^) Q" R. d
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
7 O5 } n& y- w0 ] L- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
2 L+ j9 G3 r' |! G- Experience doing program development
. c: s( p' h1 l f- Strong organizational and coordination skills
W! N6 Q/ b& M0 }$ X- Self-directed and able to take initiative0 D. V+ R4 x8 f! f" V
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset& F2 G* `, k( A( a$ k8 B) @8 S+ y* e
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license: M' P8 y) s% l' I/ H4 k

- An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
