9 @4 s. y, Q& \Terms: Full-time (35 hours per week).
Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

4 \& T  k+ ?$ V1 R: u: d+ A3 gResponsibilities:
-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
; F$ n3 u& U% U; t1 G' A  z6 y- [-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
/ \9 X9 i2 T" Q. C. L8 q' _-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health


Key Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
7 O5 }  n& y- w0 ]  L-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
2 L+ j9 G3 r' |! G-        Experience doing program development
. c: s( p' h1 l  f-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
  W! N6 Q/ b& M0 }$ X-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

; I( Q( D! R2 j) {  h-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
. o$ o: I6 f$ N3 _-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
5 g4 F7 y% h4 `  ?: ?" P-        Skills in marketing & promotions
$ a* O6 L! [, ?/ F$ _-        Some evening and weekend work may be required


Other: The successful candidate will be required to undergo a police security check and child welfare check at their own expense.
