Responsibilities:9 l5 F& I! Y# m; i0 Z
- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth0 z& t j7 o) H) d: h
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
' k+ D" l. {5 \3 } s+ A- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
, j3 ^( F1 W5 `% D- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
# e" K. c) C* {5 w4 Q6 B% l- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

: [) j' _6 `/ j7 h+ d/ EKey Qualifications:
$ ?, K0 t8 M# a* D. [- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences& D$ q( @5 b7 {& B3 s) w7 F! _
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
& Q1 |6 l7 `( D: `3 X- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others6 p7 v3 I# _: U3 z$ C
- Experience doing program development; m. W0 c h4 x, m3 ?9 }
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
9 V: E; G% c$ ] B: P9 { D2 g- Self-directed and able to take initiative
9 k2 x3 D- b, j, q- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset- A# C( t+ K5 {) B! o& O
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license
