Two cutler –hammer advantage starters are doing the same thing:4 O5 l; Z' m, b
After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the start and stop buttons on DCS screen , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again. , Q, y; D- c" V; K) C0 g) E
It is a cycle.0 d$ q- @2 {- A# L1 [

We isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.

When the problem happened, we observed that the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.7 W/ }/ I% V7 V$ C
Use a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.7 z* D" G7 K# e0 s# F9 x& l9 B: W
Confirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.1 u) I* l5 G% e

The next thing we can think of is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look. ^) s" l9 O: u B+ e, e
They have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered the connection and tried again.0 Y) Z+ E2 o# C# G
It is getting better this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working. ' K& Y* L! e2 b

The coil should be the problem, we ordered two of them. But it will take 5-6 weeks for us to get them.
