Real world gas mileage post

Recently I began to monitor the gas mileage of my 90 Chevy Corsica,V6/3.1L 3speed automatic transmision. Curb weight about 2885 lb
6 R" X( T1 j: F1 ?& ^: x9 g* M$ c+ @The gas mileage measure method I got from a local friend is that fullfill the gas tank each time, put down the mileage and gas volume(litre) filled in, then
! N% @  p& {( J' m/ x" \' N& iThe gas mileage = (next time mileage - previous time mileage) /(next time filled gas volume)
/ f+ i$ F; m* M) SAfter convent to MPG(mile per gallon), the result I got is 26 MPG
