Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

2 _! I0 r! r, H% Z/ XResponsibilities:
-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
! M! R! c* o- H5 w9 J/ G-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
, M" E& `9 z! L8 T+ l) n-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
+ ?9 _7 I  I6 h4 X6 h& z. G-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
9 i4 s, \, g( M$ c" \$ y  i-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
+ M" m/ O: W5 P/ E' X6 o6 `3 q-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
9 L' x' g7 M) J-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
( p( q. j5 W/ @-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010

" ?9 c- `! T( C. g-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
-        Employment term is May 25 to August 31, 2010

Salary
-        $14.00 per hour
