The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting./ J8 D0 f" h6 Y( _

5 k, Y% F2 {8 h' `§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers$ J9 S  U, m, c/ Y6 \
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution # w2 m6 u7 V/ p# l# \# S: F
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
: F5 I! T3 T$ c- ]7 Q§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
8 M5 v* a, v# i8 v; D  t§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
$ l$ Y) g0 \" {; E0 F- K! w- M  h) C§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert0 B+ ]7 }1 G: b/ u! N) B
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties' n( `+ Y* I5 j
§ Special projects as required

§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience
4 o! P! z- F4 k9 m; g, P§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision' `1 r) Z3 X) G9 j7 c. E; h* g+ o9 F0 f
§ Fundamental commitment to customer service# c7 E! K( W5 O: Z* m+ K
§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues  j( o. R$ H) ^
§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware
6 O* a1 H4 d- W  W1 y  @0 I; [§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software

Position Summary:
* Z- \' G4 U/ I( y$ A) `& u  tThe IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). " @5 x! E4 A, Z& C5 E( Z

  z% I* {. {! |9 g+ J§ Manage a stable local IT environment

§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support. L4 o& J# K+ M- X( r5 d% N
§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
% B6 H1 W6 p0 S§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports* R+ C, R' }8 W- O
§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation8 J4 {! Z6 g- r8 Z5 n8 k' H5 `
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to( S6 X% p9 ]+ S( [* U
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
/ \2 m1 l; T& _. B& v& n# l, m§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access
) W2 _; V: B* a0 b" o6 g§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
% m& ~5 I, j, l0 z9 V" A5 o5 f§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan
. @% x1 m2 L0 P3 l§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk2 Q2 m% q/ @6 R7 o
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert  P4 A/ R# f' ^2 C! x4 Z" F8 L
§ Provide technical and procedural recommendations to management

§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT& u8 C. h  H5 x# Y9 W+ {
§ Coordinate and support end user training" ]0 W+ `5 q. x9 _  K
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers$ h! ^9 a) W' n
§ Collaboration on development of internal intranet and external website maintenance* V: W9 p3 e) J' J! y
§ Manage all printers in the building

5 x/ x* [& C0 M1 a7 u* a在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
