The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting./ J8 D0 f" h6 Y( _

§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution # w2 m6 u7 V/ p# l# \# S: F
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
: F5 I! T3 T$ c- ]7 Q§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times

$ l$ Y) g0 \" {; E0 F- K! w- M h) C§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert0 B+ ]7 }1 G: b/ u! N) B
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties' n( `+ Y* I5 j
§ Special projects as required

§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience

§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues j( o. R$ H) ^
§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware

Position Summary:
* Z- \' G4 U/ I( y$ A) `& u tThe IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). " @5 x! E4 A, Z& C5 E( Z

§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives

§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation8 J4 {! Z6 g- r8 Z5 n8 k' H5 `
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to( S6 X% p9 ]+ S( [* U
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
/ \2 m1 l; T& _. B& v& n# l, m§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access
) W2 _; V: B* a0 b" o6 g§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
% m& ~5 I, j, l0 z9 V" A5 o5 f§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan
