Position Summary:
. ?1 q5 j' A& N% I5 v& cThe IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.- g" Z+ o; |6 _3 n/ H

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
0 J5 Q! Z: I1 L§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution : E+ `7 f/ E  q6 N9 b6 a
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
* b  c" c8 ~$ s§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times+ t* }2 v+ v+ G9 _: O9 b* F
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk- [; K' g+ `0 W( L' E8 w% Q
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert
; ^, L* k+ w- T; @% S§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties' o- W1 Y& Z6 B+ h2 g2 r
§ Special projects as required( X4 w' n: u, P
§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls

7 {! X/ |$ f9 [" q* M* O6 T§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience8 O7 D  S$ G$ ~8 `
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision

2 R$ g( o0 b( k# e0 S§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues
+ u4 o/ X& P+ \2 V§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware( s3 o8 [- d4 x3 U
§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software, T' ?" L& m: p: P* G- P
§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

Position Summary:
3 @; x6 t/ }' Q3 K; D6 DThe IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). ( z' H. @# K, |0 ~& G; U" N) O

§ Manage a stable local IT environment

# K& J- s; D1 D! P/ {5 f§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support
9 s( G8 ~. A. b6 f§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives4 Z8 G& U, a' g4 B: d# k
§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports
" l) U9 U( c$ E! [# W' F/ ~9 R§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation' x" W1 E+ q/ T! E( f) B
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to6 M7 T+ y- ~# D" \2 h
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times) R; q& a1 C+ E
§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access) p- u8 O+ R% ]# b; d# A
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
8 ?# ^1 e: r6 x% e' ^§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan  v; I& ?3 T/ V! B* D. m9 ^
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk: B( e) g7 T) D- p) @3 M
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert4 }% }) ?3 b  l! E4 z" D/ Z( z; `
§ Provide technical and procedural recommendations to management. p, `4 s4 }) V: N
§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance
! B' B0 l* ]9 _' _3 C0 y# ?% v1 ^  C§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT3 P/ s/ E* t; j  R6 g' Q
§ Coordinate and support end user training: Q" [) E7 G5 Q# E' d1 Q9 [8 b7 u
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers5 h2 }( `. }2 d. C
§ Collaboration on development of internal intranet and external website maintenance
; R2 ?  d% G9 k§ Manage all printers in the building

8 e' T% z! s8 T§ Able to manage a local IT environment while working within a Corporate IT structure at a national level6 \3 Z" _  k. r; F* I# y
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels within an organization

在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
