What Makes Christmas Magical

During the Christmas season, summer and its body-conscious state of mind 0 y2 [+ H/ I7 p$ h; d+ X
are distant memories. Hearty indulgence in the many foods shared at Christmas 6 ^6 X0 P( I/ q
therefore doesn't produce the same feelings of guilt. Nevertheless, its not a , d" _6 L5 _$ j$ H. ], a$ q
pleasant thought to start the New Year carrying any extra pounds. So why then + ?4 {# `/ n# ^: |0 K% u
eat yourself into a resolution to 'take off a few extra pounds' if you can
4 e' ^, T3 ?4 K* K3 x$ [  ^smartly avoid it?# ^1 ?0 B; M& m" P: F
?Whether it's sharing cookies and candies at work, or having an evening out 5 h0 V' ]- j$ E) @9 G# h0 F
at a party or dinner, you can have Christmas food and enjoy it. While you seem
, |- ~& o7 c1 ?( b* u! qto be eating heartily with a smile, the key is to have a secret strategy of
- o  I7 _+ I4 A; X9 Y+ c7 t% A* gmoderation. It involves sticking to a plan that can be called 'Eating on a , d2 r% l: U' r. ^* g

be something like, 'Uh..no..bah humbug' all the time that some Christmas goodies
( M) G* e0 r$ w/ hare offered. It will seem as if you aren't in the spirit of the holidays
0 @8 V! @% K$ {& t# S% T+ xespecially since at that time of year everyone is usually in a festive and more
  w7 D  K6 {3 c% urelaxed mood, and the pace at work is usually slower.
7 |  X2 b6 k# z; ]1 A?A practical way to partake in Christmas goodies, for example, is to
2 E0 M6 T/ S6 P- x* @" J" Esubstitute some holiday cookies for say the bagel that you usually have with   S" {% i5 J  q
breakfast or for a mid-morning snack. And instead of just taking one cookie, " b2 Z/ y# j* |1 t* F' _) n: m! F7 @
from the platter, which is noticeable and likely will encourage a colleague to
! P* {" v; U  }$ n+ T& Ptell you to have more, take three instead. That's where the plan can come into
' x; T# a* ]& i+ U( N3 q! u8 wplay. You can then enjoy the cookies over two or more hours,ed hardy hoodies, because nobody will
$ l7 C- z. e! M% Pbe watching how you really eat. You can always have a few candies, one cookie or ( r% {% r5 y7 V4 L; l# X( p) R
a cookie and a half by your desk and that way it will seem as if you are

& q+ G/ p& |1 r2 z* r$ xand candies to work to counteract others that are being offered. Since eating ! ~; L6 C' H3 R' k2 E7 L
healthy is highly encouraged, health-conscious cookies will not be looked down
9 w$ `/ [4 Q7 r+ Yupon so long as they taste great. A box of sugar-free Christmas chocolate
/ c8 D+ X& F1 l% m" [0 @candies for example will look just as delightful as regular chocolate candies.

on a Budget' plan means that serving portions and the choice of food selected

the selections can be sampled. If the urge to try everything can't be resisted,
