What Makes Christmas Magical

During the Christmas season, summer and its body-conscious state of mind # W/ p$ H$ {; y
are distant memories. Hearty indulgence in the many foods shared at Christmas . M# H6 d- S' I9 ~& J
therefore doesn't produce the same feelings of guilt. Nevertheless, its not a 2 z: J5 b; |' q! I3 C/ K# u% M! Y0 J
pleasant thought to start the New Year carrying any extra pounds. So why then
0 l5 ]$ a8 K5 u- t" F/ E3 w* r- weat yourself into a resolution to 'take off a few extra pounds' if you can
0 P7 i& k' x, E) [, osmartly avoid it?$ ]8 q9 n. E& I; n# T8 N
?Whether it's sharing cookies and candies at work, or having an evening out
/ i( F6 X6 [, wat a party or dinner, you can have Christmas food and enjoy it. While you seem ; }" ?! v; x5 e- w- {. ?
to be eating heartily with a smile, the key is to have a secret strategy of
$ L! W3 K1 R) k0 f( W1 wmoderation. It involves sticking to a plan that can be called 'Eating on a
, g. m4 n% ]8 sBudget.', h, \( O0 `( |2 e

risk appearing like the Grinch who stole Christmas if your response will always ( f8 z5 P( h1 y1 ]+ a/ s* L, p1 y
be something like, 'Uh..no..bah humbug' all the time that some Christmas goodies
" t. Z* t, g) h# ~( K) f" l0 t- Dare offered. It will seem as if you aren't in the spirit of the holidays ) T5 i. y0 b7 n
especially since at that time of year everyone is usually in a festive and more
2 G9 G, Y! \! u+ Y  P8 jrelaxed mood, and the pace at work is usually slower. * N' O% i+ x! P
?A practical way to partake in Christmas goodies, for example, is to # l% M5 U. z7 D
substitute some holiday cookies for say the bagel that you usually have with / d5 v( ]4 }% L1 x
breakfast or for a mid-morning snack. And instead of just taking one cookie, ! b7 }9 M2 n8 ?% V# p3 ~: H; p# w2 i
from the platter, which is noticeable and likely will encourage a colleague to " @7 L! N/ Z; a' j- j
tell you to have more, take three instead. That's where the plan can come into
# {9 K7 T0 L- x# @  q! r3 m7 oplay. You can then enjoy the cookies over two or more hours,ed hardy hoodies, because nobody will

and candies to work to counteract others that are being offered. Since eating 2 ?3 |8 g& A2 `8 [
healthy is highly encouraged, health-conscious cookies will not be looked down
8 B1 v0 k1 y% v: kupon so long as they taste great. A box of sugar-free Christmas chocolate

on a Budget' plan means that serving portions and the choice of food selected
