" e6 S9 ~. `4 W: b2 h6 m Nature of Work: The Social Worker will report to the manager of mental health services.

newcomers accessing these services and other institutions and service providers. The Social
; t, I r. e- C2 gWorker will assist in case planning, conferencing and providing support and advocacy as 6 `7 b5 w b7 N1 M8 g* U2 d
needed. As required, the Social Worker will assist in accessing community supports for 3 r+ j4 }. T, N" p w# q
newcomers and their families. The Social Worker provides holistic and flexible initial

Providing holistic information or advocacy services for immigrants and refugees served.

Provide intake, needs assessment, referral, case plans and action plans to support 1 L5 `0 V; X, `. _3 I) x

Work in partnership with settlement workers or cultural brokers to provide supplemental

Relevant undergraduate degree or diploma, or equivalent combination of education and ' V# X! H! J/ j
experience in Social Work or related human service fields.

support needs
( m5 O% b4 w/ p% _0 I Experience/facility with MS Office computer applications
+ r0 f( O( R; T( a Proficiency in both official languages is an asset, as is fluency in other languages , ^9 y4 J8 B/ |4 s- O" [
Possess a valid class 5 driver’s license and own a reliable vehicle with appropriate 9 ]3 I* ?! |" x
insurance coverage for work 3 J" d% \. Y1 A8 a4 M3 \* H+ h
