MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

. ]4 H& ]* B( W% B  P' R9 dReporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
7 X) W5 }' Z. p: x( S        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

0 Q1 q5 L! e3 [: K& K4 D; g( u' SQUALIFICATIONS:
  A$ v8 G  z3 F/ \•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
4 w7 Z# u+ E. u, \, M' T& e•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
% p0 i. L$ Z  }5 F/ d& o•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
, \. H- V6 X9 s+ N; U•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
+ C& |0 o5 m$ _4 z! I2 \' G•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
# b" L0 E2 u% e5 H0 o9 r. D•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
) f0 U* x! K* D•        Ability to work independently as well as in a team
