Position: Social Recreation & Life Skills Coordinator - Children and Youth Programming (1FTE)% E8 T# _; i$ ~/ y& v5 |- M! L0 [4 C
Salary: to be negotiated / Closing Date: position will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.# h7 _! `+ q9 Y( ^, h$ `
# w3 p ^6 ~5 D) _# r5 a4 U8 `The Social Recreation & Life Skills Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination, administration & evaluation of 3 programs, the Saturday Recreation Program, Summer Fun Camps and the Youth Life Skills Development Program. *(Children ages 6-15). The coordinator also dedicates 7 hrs. per week to the Challenge by Choice Program. (*Youth 16-18) The coordinator also contributes time to the Education Program as it relates to children/youth when time permits. Hours of work vary to accommodate Saturday programming, Youth Life Skills Program after school 4-6pm & Challenge by Choice after school 4-6 pm. + T, R5 D1 K# [
- e( f. ?0 k$ q6 x4 X& W9 W b0 qQualifications include: a relevant post-secondary human services degree; knowledge and experience working with children and youth affected by mental illness; a minimum of 2 years directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience working with children/youth; able to work flexible hours (including some evenings/weekends).& }$ J3 Y, I$ r/ [( a# B
