 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.! w$ |. U, ^# I4 F( E# M# ^6 S
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
' M8 U( S0 U4 n$ p5 Q- u; g2 b Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.

 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.

 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.

 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.1 z3 N8 V: V4 Y

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
( \6 |6 [& c2 x, } Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.: |% D; D; x' U) q8 Z; q, m- I
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
" D& P8 @0 c, z Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.8 g5 t' C% R! T+ d% B
 Knowledge of community resources.
" C {% S: u. b: L; \ o4 H( h1 w Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.% S7 W& c9 Y; @) l( v
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
% a, T. c, m. I7 h/ z2 z' UThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; 7 m' F9 w/ I2 l
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
