 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
' M8 U( S0 U4 n$ p5 Q- u; g2 b Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
5 e/ \! E- ]; n- {  ] Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
( P8 e( o. v0 A3 I9 f: q7 o Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
5 S1 N5 y" ^+ K/ Q8 v" _ Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
( \) L0 Q) b0 \# a0 c# K, J* i Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
( \6 |6 [& c2 x, } Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
" D& P8 @0 c, z Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
" C  {% S: u. b: L; \  o4 H( h1 w Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
% a, T. c, m. I7 h/ z2 z' UThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
