& U2 s" @" k5 P4 Z- N$ x  Q Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
2 V& _# K" w; {0 X+ b, K Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
; E0 z2 ]# y( p. ^& Q. V Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
3 D+ X  E+ V8 ], F0 p" ~ Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
7 \  j0 ~% m3 c( x% h; ], S Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


Qualifications:

/ u% t4 ~! r9 X; b Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
: m6 X# K  A" C# i Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
: r* y$ B) V$ J3 {+ y$ u Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
" x3 F, G& o6 \( t Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
* b3 |' n) `& y/ E  h8 YThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
$ _( J1 |' l; A+ Q/ Q6 G( ]4 J( bstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
