. J$ G0 S% U3 S0 |6 }7 yKey Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
$ q- O, h1 n( H Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
2 Q, G) N! L9 j Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
0 z) @9 M) m5 U% D5 O Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
1 E( z8 l5 k  K; F3 `. B Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

% u1 S1 E& ?- l+ p4 `Qualifications:

# }/ C4 Z% b# @# p: N3 f3 s Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
. M. V( H* W; N Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
9 J* ?/ K3 A- o$ H1 |) {' y Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
1 K. T, {% P) A% o& L2 q: t( c9 }- l Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

4 m' i# C/ e3 b# \4 a6 [+ x  `This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
! C& U' F1 j: h+ Estarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
