•        Process research equipment design;
•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
. ^! F3 [. V1 Y1 a6 n/ s+ R•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
; s. b( j! v! f' j8 t; f" N•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
* B* k0 p9 `; V$ g0 x- e7 o•        Others.

. A8 J, s/ a4 a9 {2 z8 x5 r5 yQualifications:
•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
•        Equipment design experience is required;
8 _3 g( R# [/ X) k•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
8 a3 X8 Q. m" j! D. M' o2 V•        Familiar with CAD software;
•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
