Major Responsibilities:
1 y2 \# F* Q0 @& z5 {- c• Process research equipment design;
/ h2 q8 ?' b6 H# D$ X! m* g- \7 t• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
5 i" B5 z+ \/ Q+ E& a1 A• Equipment fabrication guidance;
5 C/ z+ A; y" H) J: ^2 X$ e5 F• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;. S: B* @! a0 d4 B T

Qualifications:
* k$ Q( U! I2 |% O• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months. , e- [9 }3 t1 b9 W: ~
• Equipment design experience is required;. }! h- z2 x1 w6 j. ]8 B* E
• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
7 N( o3 A+ n3 a( O) z• Familiar with CAD software;% C" g7 q3 Q/ t" D8 F& _( f
• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
7 ~# P1 R! p4 d8 X6 [• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Compensation:
3 ^% d8 }- V3 q$ O( ^$ @0 ]9 {; CSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
