Mechanical Engineer/Specialist –Research Equipment Design

Major Responsibilities:
5 ^3 u! F4 w/ j, w5 T9 d• Process research equipment design;9 x0 f4 [2 L) {) v% j
• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;7 h1 g) a5 Z) R9 \* ^% R7 p
• Equipment fabrication guidance;4 b: I& ]& r0 ^ I* _
• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
9 \/ V L/ y/ i• Others.

Qualifications:
8 J( m" J% Z+ o3 b. `' I5 z% l• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
8 ]$ [5 x8 E. S, |, i• Equipment design experience is required;
# r3 t2 _3 K: W' c: }8 v& u• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;2 d0 z* \* i3 H3 x4 `1 j7 D
• Familiar with CAD software;
- x8 _' p. z& r• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
3 H& t5 l- C4 S3 H% q+ b• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Compensation:) u9 j/ N6 V" c
Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term. $ S! c ^" g/ Z6 z+ B
