Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Key Responsibilities:

. i$ ~1 n# a' i2 w- RWorking with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
; V9 j4 f: I0 ~% JReview, develop and improve processes and procedures
Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
, _) s* D6 ~1 \; }Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients  

Qualifications
/ o+ L& S1 R/ N7 U5 V
; H. J5 H! j# f+ c3 |Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
, l# M# c( ?9 U, EExperience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
/ _" }$ Q0 D' j) h4 B/ vUnderstanding of the Bill of Material generation process
Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
! l  f6 i2 |* m4 }* [6 q, C4 uAbility to communicate with all levels of management
2 A5 M# l  \5 f2 N( a+ zAbility to work independently as well as in a team
