k that totally depends on where you would like to go. for all canadian universities, they look at all of your 20 level course and 30 level courses (of course the 30 level matters more) n the diploma exam result. If you are enrolled in IB, sometimes the teacher have a different mark for the Alberta Curriculum than the IB program, as IB is a lot more difficult and demands higher skills and tougher marking obviously comes alogn with it. So when calculating the mark, the school would use your alberta ed mark. Universities in Canada completely base their enrollment on grades.9 Z2 t% x7 _& V; u
# d# z" d2 a2 y$ }) ZHowever, for any school in the USA, there is the complicated application process which not only involves your marks, but extra curriculars, contests you've been in, events you participated, community service etc. There is also the SAT which you would have to take by yourself if the school does not arrange it. US schools are a lot harder to get into, because of all of the extra factors they look at. Even if you are the top academic student in your school, that may mean nothing to the universities and especially ivy league in the US, if you don't have the extra stuff they are looking for. 0 g: b2 E3 H9 ~' [
