4 \3 f  m9 J) \4 H4 T+ d3 tKey Responsibilities & Duties:

; \( J9 N% x4 t- ~: ?5 a8 | Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
4 }# z! r" I3 G+ R6 j" E Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
' S3 z' x1 O* T- a! ~5 L Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
) K' [. K! d, g5 x$ Z; S! T Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
: W+ r. L5 s+ c/ i6 }' ? Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
0 S8 W( I5 c' A. ]( R2 F% E Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
+ S* T2 T, f+ T- o5 F( k" R Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
/ m: g0 ^1 a, A4 f1 n: U, ~' V Knowledge of community resources.
7 w2 L- I& C1 | Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
9 \+ O/ B4 J2 R Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

: W5 }3 }) a' {- F, t! JPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
* H! n9 d* K4 g. vstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
