 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
2 G0 E/ S. H, T9 M/ W# y Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
5 v; Y9 |: y; j8 B2 Z: g Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.$ n" P7 C0 s# X* f5 [" u
 Completing required paperwork.
; H9 u) ?) s: H0 b" l Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.2 a. M. x- ]5 s" X
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
* P( K2 j. q W4 R" Q0 m Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
% x* K( g7 _- I Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.4 e. [ U. S, F6 v
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.9 |+ z- e3 j1 D3 d+ P. I
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.3 f0 ~$ J: N4 ]
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.! j# e! ^5 Z9 J4 M6 a! V W v
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
" p+ j+ X0 ^3 x" @' S3 {3 z/ P, V3 [ Knowledge of community resources.
7 B6 a5 d; o& K8 L+ T% j& r Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
. {. u5 i! Q+ Y' T5 \8 z0 s5 U/ z/ h Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; : ]6 H, M( Z" z5 K3 U2 r1 Y( R3 a
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period. |
