" @- D/ n+ k7 H8 A9 b8 |4 a  ~ Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
  W  k! V" O+ u0 M, | Completing required paperwork.
* M; ]7 D) C; U0 [! o8 |* O8 E5 H Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
. G; n* o" K) D: G& P5 I' U1 M Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
- }: T+ l; R! D) A1 p5 e+ Z+ D Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
8 @3 V. P5 h0 F9 I Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
( }1 y- t! I1 C+ ]" a& I/ [9 ?9 f Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
$ K7 y3 {5 b0 x Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
; a) P1 o# {$ P, P Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
0 v% P% D5 i8 D1 E5 u: E. ?. H Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
, l8 h$ t; X- I) r$ z' E/ q Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
& G3 J. {3 ^; Q$ u: P  | Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

2 g* l, c1 C7 O/ S0 g. L6 aPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
' D- ^' G- d/ o, J3 T3 astarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
