1 `4 F) F/ X5 q6 `. C7 H7 F
! @# d: e: ]  O+ V( j! B0 \* k Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
+ ?: v" m2 s' B0 \( _$ [( C! K( [. B Completing required paperwork.
) |% e$ h4 b, H+ p0 }9 E/ T Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
7 ]: _9 r1 b+ @7 Q# k( J% p Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
+ ]/ S, j  H- } Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
: P; P+ K( z, ?( R Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
+ I' r0 y- K2 W$ F Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

5 X) I$ {/ E3 F* l& w
7 ^1 t* X3 }% _. U, @3 U8 d Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
2 w! X8 j( T) ?& v; S8 R- l+ C% Q Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
" p, D! |: V! F6 d! V) f# E/ C% E2 U Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
7 g# Q/ T& [  S Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
& c8 L# I  m7 ~1 P3 u8 D4 q' o0 C Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

% F8 j! V: ^* [% q1 q! UPosition:
9 a+ Q" u" p2 L  W3 ~This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
