Key Responsibilities & Duties:
! D$ h& M( m" ?6 J/ y
 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
% X9 u# F! q) t4 R$ y Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
- w% s8 d; L/ A$ w8 F Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
% b0 J& N! X  A Completing required paperwork.
, @% n5 D- T+ X0 M" \ Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
$ R0 {" V; R; u' f  n2 t- I Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
+ D" T) w3 _( `& v: Q Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
9 d9 f6 ~; D: A; d2 N/ A) T9 q Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


$ D% H( G; X. R* W% TQualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
  {0 S+ I6 s# q- G0 p Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
4 n/ \% W8 F+ d# T' b8 f: S) Y Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
* Q' V% r8 t, |0 l; G& I2 ` Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
  E. i- W) ~0 p" K. ]7 K Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
# K5 m8 f: H2 pThere is a 3-month probationary period.
