Key Responsibilities & Duties:

2 V! f+ m' O9 r4 n9 {. V* ` Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth. ? E; @7 Z' j2 r2 L% b
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.! C& A1 @" `! b+ o7 b! [
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.

: y9 @# @: F/ j8 x Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
$ m4 _; \) g7 a2 s Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.

 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.$ Q3 Q( M+ k7 S( S. G* ?# a4 ^' F2 ^
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.. j% n8 F9 Y/ {! v O
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.8 \: p7 |7 S' h

: X# R; o" @0 l' } Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.% |* L7 K: i* c. Y! r0 ^/ F( x
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.3 |+ b$ k% i1 }. n% B; n
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth., C: \7 L5 D c& C( U
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.: e/ c- j* w* R' I
 Knowledge of community resources.
% o" W6 D. M. O! E6 ~+ V; S4 n2 v) T Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
+ f8 S! W. P3 X: z& B z Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
& d) q3 S5 N* M" eThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
; v! y+ t/ i7 t t* zThere is a 3-month probationary period.
