, @0 F2 y+ J3 n) Q# O Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
% }+ u2 v' o( T Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
4 H) @, X: x5 F* ~ Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
5 p( O+ ]/ n5 u. X7 F( S. h Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
7 \' A4 j3 R& U' g Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
! A1 U& G! t$ D8 k. e/ }5 d2 h Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

1 g' t; B. h4 D; i Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
( @' C9 _6 Y. G Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
6 W" f) ^7 C7 g) ~& l Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
0 s8 P6 H. ^" |. n2 j# R+ v) t Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
. @6 a4 q. A9 d5 B3 M, z Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
. U7 J; z/ G$ }# X  V/ y1 X# F$ tThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
* b0 }( {6 p" M0 r. |% vThere is a 3-month probationary period.
