Clifton Associates Ltd. currently has a career opportunity for an intermediate/senior geotechnical engineer with 8-10 years experience in our Edmonton office.

) x1 Y0 x! u, N! j8 ~3 KResponsibilities
■Manage and conduct a wide variety of geotechnical projects and investigations.
■Provide geotechnical engineering expertise on projects dealing with the design of roadways, railways, bridges, retaining walls and other transportation or foundation structural projects.
3 d: h; C5 D. G" V5 \0 M/ t■Take a lead role in business development and client relationships
$ @% E5 u, K; }2 KExperience and Education:
■A graduate degree in Civil Engineering with a Geotechnical focus is very desirable.
■Competent in all facets of geotechnical engineering and materials testing.
% J) k+ r4 D; l! A" }5 a3 f5 B■Experience in a consulting environment would be a definite asset.
+ n0 ?9 i" J4 ]6 N) @■Experience with technical report writing, presentations, and meetings;
■Ability to supervise the construction of earthwork projects;
■Ability to undertake unsupervised geotechnical work with support from senior engineers in other offices.
) U4 N7 O. c5 L3 N■Project management experience required as well as business development and marketing experience, including proposal writing.
) y6 \$ w' i2 p■Must be eligible for registration with APEGGA.

■Marketing skills,
■Self motivation,
■Communication skill,
■Client liaison and business development skills, and
■Geotechnical expertise with in-depth knowledge and experience of geotechnical investigations and solutions,
