Basement building permit

I'm finishing the basement by myself and need to apply basement building permit. I was wondering how much I should claim my basement building value. If I say 5000 $ which pay less inspection fee, does it affect the resale value of my house later? or I say 10000$, pay more inspection fee and property tax now.

Any suggestions?

you should apply the permit before you do the job. now you have to contact them by phone for inspection. good luck

you shouldn't full finish your basement.you can say that you havn't finished for tolal project, I think less than $5000 if that is being finished by your self include all nonremovable equipment and materials.

问题是，如果你已经完成了，再申请检测就行不通拉
如果已经安装了drywall，电线在内墙部分的看不到，怎么检测？
