Delivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
6 b& ~+ ]/ f& T) jObtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments
- G# X+ g) U/ a% F5 p1 qEnsures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound
' L% F8 s1 F( a+ nPrioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
Operates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions

Qualifications
6 I% ?, m! k8 G5 [2 z5 C  hValid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.
( T3 d  `% f/ c7 yHigh School diploma; previous driving experience required
Current certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification
Training related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials
Ability to operate equipment including forklift, power-jack, pallet-jack, Johnson bar
