1 D* M4 b/ P  G7 f3 [8 X/ f8 ?Delivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
Obtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments
1 \! r+ r' [9 f8 b# MEnsures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound
. w) d- z1 [9 {4 A' B( f) IPrioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
$ v8 B5 F$ e% O: D( u9 W3 a9 }8 GOperates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions
Performs related duties as required
Qualifications
5 g0 D  }/ h7 s& d. OValid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.
: _# X& d* A4 S+ J$ k5 j, D$ `9 y9 NHigh School diploma; previous driving experience required
Current certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification
& V" h" {: O+ x0 v5 {$ E) E8 |Training related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials
Ability to operate equipment including forklift, power-jack, pallet-jack, Johnson bar
Forklift operating certificate
