. }3 {1 L. B( [" Y; O Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
5 _1 K! J  ^. W$ \( C+ C Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
! g9 D& Y- T" N8 I2 Q Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
, f$ [3 _0 E! w( J- O Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
 Social work degree or diploma
. |9 P1 p) K% ^$ c: H7 H% I3 \* u Current RSW designation preferred   
: G( j9 \, \& _" m+ R7 m Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
% O/ ]% s# f- K' E0 H8 E; O' } Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
$ Y, J$ m) a- L) ?8 W Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
$ V/ y6 n8 q/ K9 N* Q6 V( Z Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
