 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
0 l( s9 R  F. A- e Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
0 B& I7 [5 V. E3 m% B8 z Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

' F0 ?3 w# l  h9 [ Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
7 V* A# E) x9 M6 N; T- P Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
0 f- `2 B# N0 e# g! e" p7 W Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
0 o  A1 b$ ~  Q4 a6 s3 ? Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
% D5 a+ m! K" @5 [3 ]# I3 P Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
