Responsibilities% O" T) ~8 q+ g( X! m
& P. k' h& R5 L6 s Proactively and independently develop initiatives in ethno-cultural communities that " y+ A8 h7 X: o) o
increase their capacity to participate fully in the community
) `" T6 A5 C! P. O% y Develop initiatives that convene stakeholders, community organizations, government agencies and foster collaborations between immigrant and main-stream stakeholders.
; e: S: r* u1 L4 F( f$ a3 \. ^% t Proactively assist immigrant communities with: identifying needs, training, strategic planning, board development, project development, community economic development, funding proposal writing, program planning and implementation. s Q: C! w( ?# @# [5 o4 a0 ]
 Develop Community Economic Development initiatives and provide small business coaching to groups and individuals
6 F5 b7 ~0 u4 v Facilitate group processes and workshops
% e9 Q* x; P+ n: R/ |4 y0 H Advocate for systemic changes that foster full participation of newcomers in the community

Background & Qualifications:

' R; r$ f, C& f* K a3 Q6 n Strong group facilitation skills $ ~0 ?1 f% ?3 v; I N4 Y
 Experience supervising staff
+ t. }' w Z+ t! t7 z% \ Understanding of cross-cultural issues6 w8 J" p4 J; V1 c" X
 Excellent written and oral communication skills, including proposal writing skills
