immigrants are highly educated and experienced, yet many may find it

Integrated training offers a blend of occupation-related skills, a work

English as a Second Language.

required for the Alberta workplace. Training includes:

• job search and job management skills

Upon successful completion of ETIP, graduates are Technologist-in-Training

• NAIT delivers engineering technologist education applicable to the

graduates.

As of 2003, more than 80% of ETIP graduates over the past six years have
* p4 O7 H" q+ V6 X% Pfound engineering or engineering technologist employment in Alberta., o9 S' ]. w! _/ ] w8 c
In 2004, 46 engineers graduated from the ETIP program. At the time of% o* K8 C. P; Y0 U) @& b
graduation, almost half had secured employment in the engineering industry,
5 B/ p4 s; a' l- B9 e4 Pwith over 90% employed at three months post-graduation.
