We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

Reporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

- Gathering and documenting requirements;

$ v: B0 F2 H4 X7 T# i4 F- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;
6 o% H2 @4 j& L( e1 Y5 J4 G
- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

5 {# [( O3 }8 x- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;
" `: T" U, q% A+ A2 p4 x
- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;
# t! H; N$ |# }* j, G9 f+ w
2 o/ R, @8 q8 F$ b- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

+ ?$ [; t# L4 S* z% }2 K- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;
6 w" n  n5 ^; K" }7 ~, u
- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

9 Z% V; {+ Y2 S, w5 a2 }- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

& K9 \5 Q; o) P& e- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

9 @8 r% @( ^1 z& c' W. b5 c- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;

- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;

& ^4 M) \# m. j0 R) Z. O- Status reporting to team leader as required;

- Developing and maintaining application documentation; and
