We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

3 \" W) K- ]( A+ k  p8 F: H6 }Reporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:

- Gathering and documenting requirements;

- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

4 v4 P7 {7 d/ i2 S- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

8 T% y. k; J7 U- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

5 A( }* c5 Y: }9 I- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

, y" D% s% Y1 R' Q' t& t- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

0 n7 u' Q" F+ B7 R" Y4 l5 x2 `- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

$ h2 ^; V8 e; N4 a$ X) {7 |# |9 i- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;

7 r0 n$ a* f: x; D  g0 r8 O5 j- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;

- Status reporting to team leader as required;

- Using modeling techniques for data, process and business design.
