We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

D6 D6 G3 VReporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:

- Gathering and documenting requirements;

, u! X3 n2 H$ B- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

( O: c2 M/ B1 E* V- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

: {( c% H- C7 K1 j& F+ P- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

9 \+ x' `6 C0 v4 }; j$ j  \1 C  N- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

' S) J3 I$ V9 L- @2 c6 p0 U2 p; r- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

1 D' Q, J! Q. f* {4 ?/ i3 N- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

$ u0 q' }# [" v, v- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;

- Status reporting to team leader as required;

- Using modeling techniques for data, process and business design.
