 Provide ongoing positive encouragement and support to clients accessing the Resource Centre.

 Provide information regarding job search strategies and labour market information.

 Work with newcomers in assessing their needs and a needs-based settlement plan.4 g! w, a+ k( E, o  n  z
 Liaise effectively with a range of service providers, both voluntary and statutory, in order to ensure services are available to newcomers.

Assessment Officer

 Deliver program overview to potential clients, as well as other interested parties.! b( |. t+ Y0 N! Q! \. L% G( L
 Screen and assess clients’ skills and abilities through a workability assessment.6 J& A" R9 a4 j0 v! Q* H8 \! I" p
 Determination of which stream of services most appropriate for the client.  F/ B; m, a: |: c
 Provide referral information on other services that may be more suitable for the client.2 F1 q( c! `. x; ]8 {! u( Y5 m

 Assist clients with obtaining required documentation for working in their profession in Canada
