Job Description
- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
) Z+ i0 a3 l1 p- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
-  develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
- provide support to ISP staff
- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
5 g8 C, d+ K/ p8 A7 L) i( J- v- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
& }: B" i1 f( L& f4 Z/ E- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
( K; J( u; y% {0 H1 h- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities

# I; s" P! v. U! w, H  G/ F- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
% i- M! L  I& S8 L  q- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
$ ]' U6 ~7 h- ?- A$ M( v! `& ?7 w- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
- good interpersonal and people skills
- good organizational and coordination skills
- j% ?: _5 ^6 I5 V4 |( y- valid driver’s license

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

- $12/hr for 17.5hours/week, April 18 to March 31, 2007
