Job Description
! v& k0 ^5 r' Q9 }7 E t5 |- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
5 G; g8 S+ T) Q) D; P- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
}: i V+ j6 W. F5 J- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
# ^0 P1 |6 a, x1 g- provide support to ISP staff# J3 ^$ b+ p$ L$ e2 r
- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members9 f' ]+ P* d; G& ^
- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
a4 p0 M8 j2 K8 W1 G- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated2 ^9 X; e9 @& h2 `
- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants/ V+ \% G* E* C4 z
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals" t( M# }. m: @4 M$ g. z0 l% `
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
/ J ?& u8 A* X& _- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.4 b1 y# c P# S1 e% `' \' V
- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities5 F5 m$ C! A' v8 k0 n1 H- ?, m
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned" k9 y7 V, T( q* l

Qualifications
2 m6 |5 N/ I- D- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered/ i; S7 Z9 B" n
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
5 o2 s/ V7 h5 l4 J- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
- |4 j, L! g3 D# n2 B- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
8 @8 K" |. U/ Y4 E. G- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
' D) [4 M; s6 _- v2 F- good interpersonal and people skills* l3 L8 D# V5 W
- good organizational and coordination skills
