Position: Outreach Worker ( n; N7 v+ Y! V! M

- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
/ E" X* v; h. W' }, h- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc." _4 G# S+ w; Z' x& w5 O$ E
- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP! g& r4 h7 J( x, g9 H, B% X% ?
- provide support to ISP staff L5 F: s" Y% b+ M. Q
- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members8 q: m3 B( N# |5 s6 ]8 _
- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities2 L8 P$ w, ?1 w. Q! n
- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
9 _& A2 L7 O/ l2 C- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants5 ~& n \: f; J4 C9 F
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals

- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc./ H! O: S" T/ y% O, s4 v
- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities9 \5 L0 m3 d2 `, o3 D/ U S
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned* Y5 K s& A% d$ z: }

Qualifications
' [* f! F) j- }9 u# h8 [- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered7 _5 \; R# Z8 e2 }( h
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available) a( J6 K# Z1 O0 o$ q" d4 m
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
) X* F' H2 r! Y- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
, V! L( r/ f! t o5 G- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)

- good organizational and coordination skills

Salary
