Job Description
- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
& ?: y0 g0 P7 D2 c( H( n-  develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
* g$ B1 j" _! z  g: b- provide support to ISP staff
, v: K; }! K/ ^+ Y2 M- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
# r( \* `$ h: t! s1 M+ S0 o( U- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
8 U! j' \' _: H. Y2 A- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
9 O+ r6 m! Z8 w; @& W" M6 i- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned
+ \: K% s7 x. O8 q$ a- other duties as assigned

) e- U% l! V1 E9 I. a! M6 T4 oQualifications
- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
; B. D/ K" N& J) P! U& N0 W* R3 X! T- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
- good interpersonal and people skills
. |. k: d( ?6 Z  G& S$ Z3 u) {- good organizational and coordination skills
- valid driver’s license
