9 d% m! o, D. kSEDI is hiring an in-house financial literacy trainer/coordinator who will help build financial literacy programs across Canada.
. s7 H( o9 V g2 {3 M- BSEDI is staffed to: ( @- H9 s+ Q3 e3 F# z
• conduct socio-economic market and policy research
/ F3 @4 Q& @, G% o; i• act as a knowledge broker between communities and policy makers, and influence public policies that affect low income earners - g3 ^( P6 y7 _+ |0 o5 D
• develop socio-economic programs and manage their implementation
& H# ^& K/ `1 K2 O8 ~• partner with other nonprofits across Canada to deliver programs
& c. n3 E, z; V, h3 q: p• provide training and capacity building to frontline nonprofits + e6 c. F& R% u2 O i
• work strategically with the public and private sectors to develop innovative responses
- L& }1 ~! b6 a+ ^• to work to reduce economic vulnerability in Canada + ]: X0 w% g. K
Primary Responsibilities and Activities:
5 t. i, Z4 n9 t$ B• Facilitation of forums and training of trainers sessions (basic financial literacy) with staff at partner community organizations across Canada
8 l" `+ {; w6 u4 U" d& R% c; I2 r• Assistance in the development and design of financial literacy tools (ie- curriculum, videos etc)
n: I1 E! \. N/ A% O: p• Coordination of activities and communication with delivery sites of the CCFL as required
* ?1 C! P" X7 Z, J0 |" i• Working with the website and communications teams on CCFL communications activities ' X, _4 V) T q, [2 x* I2 \
• Working with evaluation and management information systems team ; b% z5 H/ @7 s) e# M' e. @( _* H
• Other CCFL duties (reporting, evaluation, communications) as required
; O$ s3 \+ A4 e2 _6 f O0 VOther Activities:# K; ~- T" J4 S* t5 D8 C/ I: q
• Providing support to implement research and evaluation activities, solve implementation challenges, and fine-tune strategies
8 f. B$ k6 N$ o: B0 w ]/ Z• Organizing and monitoring the collection of all evaluation forms, surveys, and reports from project partners , y; a" D3 y' G3 K. n
• Working with in-house Management Information System staff to facilitate data input, analysis and reporting
* U/ g2 A, y/ N" H \9 r5 }) l• Writing and editing of research and evaluation reports, project reports and internal progress reports - W( z0 | _5 c. ~
• Participating in the development of Internet-based strategies for sharing findings/effective practices and for promoting learning 3 s( d* j+ E; t8 v
Primary Qualifications:
' A2 {& _, n( r. E4 B, b) n• Demonstrated group facilitation experience
s3 v+ m0 \" U; j• Strong communication and public speaking skills; including comfortable with new technology and social media
" S8 U: R/ j+ U) h b% K, \+ X• Able to travel across Canada to conduct training 1 u7 S5 s5 b2 K4 q: D: x, w N$ c
• Entrepreneurial spirit, can proactively identify prospective opportunities " v- X$ b7 X: _( \
• Highly motivated self-starter with team orientation; ability to build committed and collaborative teams

• Demonstrated understanding of basic financial literacy concepts
U0 }* q, d; e- `• Experience in working with economically vulnerable Canadians and the organizations that serve them , N1 H% k, H* m- Z3 K& T
• Experience working directly with community organizations that serve segments of the population such as: youth, seniors, women, aboriginal peoples, newcomers to Canada etc * Y# m6 ~; r9 Y1 j
• Experience in ‘training of trainers’ activities or education

• Computer skills: Word, ACCESS, Power Point etc.
