The Position
The Jerry Forbes Centre for Community Spirit: A Capital Campaign for 630 CHED Santas Anonymous, is looking for a
$ O1 p1 q# ~2 k9 k  F- Iskilled and professional office administrator to join our capital campaign team.
" N8 z& `, j, k+ L6 m9 GDuties and responsibilities
! E' Y+ l: Z& H+ jGeneral
7 `: U) l  J' x/ @2 N* l) h• Handles communication by telephone, fax and email
• Is responsible for photocopying and all filing
6 ]& h3 i. j% a2 H• Records minutes of meetings when requested by the project leader and manager of marketing and fund
4 _- {* M* C* J4 V! R9 `  Wdevelopment, distributes and files same
9 w, x0 V- p9 \0 Y2 x• Participates in maintaining a binder of current administrative procedures
• Archives files
. M2 p+ N' {7 k, B& @$ B* O/ |7 m* P• Assists in the production of Thank you letters and tax receipts
• Updates donor database and compiles weekly volunteer and other reports
! a+ v1 ?; M3 Z• Appointment and meeting scheduling
• Assist in planning and preparing for special events
4 E- o9 @- z) z• All other tasks required for the smooth and efficient running of the office

, s% G& Z4 e. Y• Provides administrative support to the project leader and manager of marketing and fund development as
required
! c& a- Y) y* nAccounting
• Accounts payable complete to checks
• Creates Bank deposits and takes deposit to the bank
  z! E: R: @$ G, S  ^' @, v" u• Creates and distributes monthly financial reports

( y- n+ |# a7 f7 j( ?, q• Skilled use of MS office products including database systems, spreadsheets, word processing and Power Point
. r! s9 Q3 q* E4 Z  d& \7 W% H- c• Knowledge of other software products such as financial systems (Simply Accounting) and donor management
software (Income Manager)
• Ability to flex time as required
• Clear criminal record check

4 ^2 \; x$ z! m. u; \Community Spirit: a 70,000 square foot multi-tenant, non-profit centre and volunteer workshop.
6 N- C% O$ G1 nMission: To provide healthy, affordable and vibrant work spaces for Edmonton non-profit organizations, as we dream,
grow and work together.
9 c, a5 k' `/ ~4 B' l  SVision: To create a legacy of volunteerism in Edmonton, fostering collaboration between non-profit organizations by
developing a sustainable, multi-tenant centre promoting synergy, innovation and community spirit.
Once constructed, the Jerry Forbes Centre for Community Spirit will become a small, working village of charitable
organizations sharing resources and talents for enhanced program delivery. It will provide affordable and dynamic office
and warehouse space to non-profit organizations in need -- and become a legacy of goodwill for decades to come.
