今天做了一件好事，

事情是这样的，早晨出去锻炼身体回来的时候，看见一辆车开得很慢，到我跟前后停下，看见是一位80左右的老太太，问我到xxx医院怎么走。我一听就知道老太太迷路了。然后我问她是否愿意跟我到我家我可以把地址找到，然后带她去。她说她自己找，我说那你要调转头，这里没有医院，然后就走开了。

) ]: z9 v6 _/ z4 j5 j可当我回到家门口，看见老太太的车也开进来了。我们相视一笑，我问她是否愿意告诉我具体名字我查到后告诉她，她同意后我就回家去查。
( X. M& v4 c) w5 |% x# R
- N8 J( G: P- B9 y  w等我查到后，发现离我家不是太远，我就出去告诉老太太是否愿意我在前面开车，她在后面跟着我，我把她送回去。她同意了。

我一路9个左拐才到她要去的地方，估计老太太是一路右拐遇到的我。

2 p8 a( L7 W: j/ n% D3 [2 ]把她送到后，顺便和老太太随便聊了两句，其中问到她是否参加选举的事，出乎我的意料，她说每次选举都有车来接她他们去，我问你去吗，她说去。

% o4 P. R/ [' f# z% m# I) O6 H/ T* u我想连80多岁的老人都去参加选举，更何况你我，不是也应该去吗？

记得那年在我们办的宣传中英双语教育的Gala时, 马不但作为教育部长讲话支持，而且还鼓励自己的小女儿参加演出，两口子像其他的普通家长一样，为了孩子的排练和演出，又接又送。作为家长，他在努力培养孩子的多元文化情感，其中包括学习自己作为第二代移民没有机会学习的中文和中国文化。ECBEA现在很多积极参与的家长都是属于这种情况。虽然自己不会中文，不认中国字，但他们为了下一代，在做着自己的努力！

In a few words, Gary has:
