* [ L- J- E' }/ u- s% }. TYWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties.

' H: C4 k7 m" FPayroll:
% `' A. d U6 l. B. l• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired. y+ I1 z. g2 O2 O5 L
• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll
- d2 d! v4 ~4 G' T2 \6 H• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records " D6 D3 L/ y }* l- | v
• Input benefit deductions into payroll

0 r- Y3 E W: a* b' E! r4 NReporting duties:
# w- D/ @& r6 d1 _+ p5 q1 c0 f- Y• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider5 h9 J1 {% ]% ?& ]
• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
! g0 H5 b2 e! g4 L$ y3 J• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s
2 k/ E! T4 h6 a1 x* C• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority* n$ J) _, K+ {, A9 y: y( N* z
• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations

Compliance:
6 M2 U- @/ O: T- `. j• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll
, i' ~% C: ^9 a0 C• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.2 }* \8 {$ T- N G# \# A
• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies8 o/ S1 x$ h3 i
• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting

Accounts Receivable:
" i" ^4 h2 I# f, s5 C! l$ N1 H• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit" b0 B. L8 w5 B; W3 U* W
• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department2 j+ P m U6 C) I- {* f) Q
• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments
0 r) x' w" p% E+ H0 Q6 p• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing

: t+ u/ k; ?" ^5 {; r• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP
" E* F: ?" Q- ?* ?3 |( b• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
. z: ^& U8 G2 y1 V0 N# r• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position; i- M. u% v; i m/ o- M
• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office& L, g4 T8 Y2 o5 e, Q
• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work
