1 E4 O! [0 d+ U0 IPayroll:
' O: h# G A9 ]1 B$ b+ {$ ]# p H• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired
9 d" O( V8 ^' M4 k. q- n• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll
; F7 P) L) c. _• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records
+ `) |. L m. z& s• Input benefit deductions into payroll# |) Z4 s' ?5 U N! S
* Z& m( N. W& h3 z6 z* S Z- lReporting duties:
: \3 Q* I+ f2 e( B- e$ z• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider
8 u/ h* U6 ]5 ~ X! k• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
: J8 f* J) b6 \" R' O• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s
4 k% d; E4 H& d }" t: w% p0 P• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority5 R/ L5 r5 r; V6 \0 {
• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations6 v5 J0 W. W; ^) E

Compliance:
3 X3 y# d/ n# b• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll
4 D1 G+ _* s! _2 B• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.; {) F2 ?$ w! S( i& @0 |
• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies2 z+ b5 L4 X3 x+ {5 O) b7 m# f* J
• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting2 U0 R0 m6 O' g

Accounts Receivable:2 @- r: @( R! `$ @! f# T
• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit# c) @9 U) f7 E2 d- E
• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department
5 N' h# u" B b6 \. w8 ^• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments- c. B$ ]. F+ Y
• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing8 {$ E) G( ~; N
8 T5 ?* P- N5 CQualifications:% I _8 u6 j% a
. @" o3 v/ q8 z* F• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP5 P7 `1 O9 b( b0 t ?
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
1 I* ^1 Y" ?) |9 L; M5 B• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position1 E$ Z% ^2 X4 |7 o8 I
• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office
; _8 i. z, d2 H5 |• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work0 L! S- o& { P3 I4 r
• Establishes priorities, meets deadlines, and works well under pressure. h9 Z2 \2 t# B, n8 E- o5 L, x
• Knowledge and experience of cash handling procedures
