Payroll:
. h- D: a, X8 p, [• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired
& y: ]. t( L" C2 F• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll
. M* @7 l$ a) {9 ^& j, w1 d• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records
6 ~) e" D" C# Q+ [• Input benefit deductions into payroll+ H- w; ~5 j4 M& R

Reporting duties:4 T+ O8 g/ c/ i) |
• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider+ L+ T2 q; e X4 k1 E
• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
/ R$ ?' `+ L, m0 u. b• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s$ F# [3 U$ H w
• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority( U; E" |& w- s7 ?; @
• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations0 U1 u$ S4 h z, a" r2 `$ B3 O
- w4 _# m E5 M+ v0 p) L1 eCompliance:( p: C1 g' g, T; Y5 x3 \. m. Z* Z7 _
• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll # J* p0 R, u4 Y) {
• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.
% Z( L" {8 f- P& k8 v7 C4 f$ }• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies: g6 p1 R7 ?2 _; n: U
• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting

; I' M# u) Z0 RAccounts Receivable:
9 h) m/ D! g* I1 f• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit
- I5 A% ]- U/ ]; M3 b& N• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department" S5 ^* ?: X3 B; G" o
• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments
M, v" |. j8 M3 k6 K( e! Q) M• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing

Qualifications:$ c* d# K% ~% \1 h, x! T9 Z2 t. L8 f

• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP# n1 T- C! D3 C; r! k4 G0 Z
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
3 ?8 U. K3 b3 ^7 [4 A& x• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position- b: w& y0 l( f4 j8 w4 E# b7 L
• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office5 m3 A2 ~8 H. N7 F
• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work0 I# Y0 v! k t# A
• Establishes priorities, meets deadlines, and works well under pressure
