2 ]+ j# U7 J/ A/ L5 pPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST5 s/ |9 N4 m S: ?; c3 x2 A/ [, Y
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
. _+ Z2 i3 P8 X1 N• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter* O+ v6 r7 @$ U4 \- x$ j3 ?( ]' s
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
+ |9 z- m/ `9 G) a$ j• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents# b5 x3 B. S* R6 F: w) R
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
, [9 d7 _& s S• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
7 k9 r; h4 m# P, i: f( u3 G( \• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
4 L7 }& s) a0 k& L/ a6 U• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset5 m$ [5 b3 u, ]( W
• Good English writing and oral communication skills

• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook o# K( C) `0 G! l8 Q

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:, K( l3 b' P5 g" S3 }" S) R! q
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
* h9 Z3 C6 h: M. g& B5 |• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment; b8 v, h9 ]3 I' @% j
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
* r' M i; H; s• Ability to work well under minimal supervision2 a2 s$ T* T/ H% ?
