Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

; Q, u: \/ D5 z/ a( V• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
. [6 l$ s# ?( e• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST4 w* L- B' L2 R3 j d
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately1 I$ i% x; U; j$ M* h
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter& O! @" d7 K5 ^- z" J4 A
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings; F9 z5 u, r: B1 |6 \) h9 d
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents% r c3 {, j. @* E7 |
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
! y m' q# s3 |, U• Keep the reception area tidy and clean( K$ E O) X% @$ [
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:+ ^) a. R$ C) D
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
; N- c& E- G8 {& o• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
* d* A5 ^ H! y m• Good English writing and oral communication skills
/ p' i& m( U# r I• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
& ?: D; z6 ]( |" H( e7 q% R. j: @• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook6 S+ y, p5 u8 |
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
9 E- z# C8 A6 l& P: c/ {• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• Knowledge of immigrant services
! u; T$ M' {# S/ l& D6 qQualifications:$ E$ c f; ^. [6 P7 X" P2 |
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
7 B7 K) Q3 g# ~• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment! B9 Z: \5 q' ^/ r" b
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism* ^) m, W+ U6 ? R$ f" h$ F3 R
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
