Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker, T0 M7 T; ` v5 u @

) N5 X3 C7 R/ o4 v3 WPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

6 ] c( y# F2 r5 [; r+ `• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person) X9 |: a9 k+ N& V8 g8 X
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST( g! b* h; _6 q$ y! Z
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
0 R# S! f+ m5 G- D% S" `• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter( z8 T; O4 \1 _6 A" l- \
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings& d( n4 M. v6 a, X) X9 a: T3 N
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
3 F; Q& b" t& h. K* R• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker* V" J e9 \' D, d8 _8 B8 i" T
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
8 _* `" ^9 z1 p4 `• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters1 b( m8 W/ Z. H# P1 }( p8 a9 P
• Maintain front counter service files& R( _$ G2 {& P+ n5 Y" S" Y; I
• Perform general office duties as assigned7 c" \+ O* f* X( d p2 U4 _0 T
• Report to ISP Program Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:! o& Z7 ?1 s: S6 l$ A/ _( L
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person5 v& R" }& k# h# U3 E! ?
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
" y# |2 W. N3 a• Good English writing and oral communication skills/ ~% l3 U! v5 ~- Z( e8 |1 f
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
" w2 j6 \9 f1 i: P& V6 V9 y' d• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook* P- l2 O6 Y E
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
9 l- ~9 q% J" [. a7 `" `2 T( z• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds. Y& J, q8 }( a G0 r
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:
% t4 k, B1 ]$ E; `• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 5 q1 S( h/ \( X% Z& f
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
: m( W. n2 G' g& e- N8 L1 K- T• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
" F& y; V( `. I% E$ g• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
