Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker' E7 L; |! e9 ~8 X* O6 y

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. ! a, U; V9 A% u1 c5 f, l

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
, w7 n( J; v7 f \• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST# E; p w2 [: Z% \* U) q
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
0 i( p/ K" s7 ?" J9 |• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter7 J V4 e6 [+ a+ p+ V
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings; }" t# x' ?( ?" W$ I- [
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
3 S6 f2 W; {5 D% |* V2 V• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
' ?: t/ ?: P2 ?. \6 f- Q+ Y• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:8 k8 c) F _5 T' B7 I! R
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
5 u3 L; l: t3 T( r" s( s: Z• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset Z- e, n4 ]. G$ Z6 U
• Good English writing and oral communication skills4 o8 E* Y- l; d, I# ?
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
1 e& H& j. J$ [ Y) c• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
- f I% D# j* Y: f; \• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
/ f* O) _+ O! |• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds- l. Y0 W" b+ J5 ^' n/ ^9 u# _
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment- L& [' g1 p& V
• Knowledge of immigrant services: h- g o' x! p* |$ i/ g [: f
Qualifications:
/ n& Z/ q+ r5 k2 U4 w$ H* g* B• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience : [! S; `) x5 R9 S9 \4 M1 ~
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment

• Ability to work well under minimal supervision( A. f9 ?4 `; \
