Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 20115 i0 f" G+ H  J

Scope and Purpose of Job. ~3 d# s5 S7 C  d
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.1 g* v- r  N+ U* D
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
6 a8 \, Q) J2 L•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.3 O, Q, k: u, ]6 t! h5 S, z
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.* C4 f' H- C, ^8 _
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems4 n* c% d4 k9 b8 u% g4 g8 Y3 t
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
& H% h5 O2 s" }6 p•        Assist where needed in application questions.  p! M; ~6 u$ M! K  ~
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
5 y) r, U$ r- m8 w( vo        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
" u* n  a' |: s  go        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
- X8 h4 W. ^- t: T: {3 h•        Track and report all warranty failures
7 I  O. g& m+ `  U& qo        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
: A' t" t2 [* F$ d+ Lo        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
& e9 q* I: \/ i6 @: m. G  R•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.- I8 Q2 a. U) j6 x* o
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
4 y3 x+ L- a3 c* oo        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.2 a0 p3 ^' `  u2 v, [9 Q$ h
o        Assist in writing and new product specification& L+ ]+ j+ S, z% e$ X
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.* ~, f  M3 K# k- `/ D& E! J
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.5 L, Z5 G0 L+ ]4 s8 o' O
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
' m* j- M3 b; b+ J•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
& a3 X& |+ c+ \5 x, e  {List of Skills/Qualifications        ! C  I& _& |: d/ c! H
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
0 \" _$ A; r8 S•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
: R0 E$ l: z4 G( V  q( r3 e•        Proficient in software use and writing./ X5 I; A1 f# b' X2 ]5 B
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.! @: b3 s/ c: E4 c8 _
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
