• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
9 q0 a0 W7 k! d• Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components' q3 e6 d" C* _! T
• Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers. B$ t3 G6 X* |" N
• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams2 `1 X- ?' ^2 N7 y
• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place/ y' w3 I; X1 K- `/ c8 l k
• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment* M% _- q6 E6 q: q8 t5 R
• File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools' ?7 C. M! ]1 b; @( o
• Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
; Y% F' H" a- ~# \+ A1 c• Mix paint, blend and match colors, ?& B, b( ?8 _/ a! A
• Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns

Education and Experience Requirements:
/ Y$ ~( H( c+ k$ S9 r& k0 i• Completion of secondary school is required
, j- d8 \- L& P- M2 D4 a% @$ ^; ?# ^• Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program
3 ?7 f5 V; Q4 Uor* w+ Y; z5 l# A6 o
A combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade
# ?) o3 v4 r( j- J• Alberta Trade certification for motor vehicle body repair (metal and paint) is compulsory 4 @, b+ W. g- {- F+ B; M' X+ Z
