Job Description:( c9 D: N; p" m4 n2 d! L* y6 ?. s
• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
/ E8 W( E7 B6 p1 L& Z• Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components, x1 o6 ^* }5 J' T% h) L7 j
• Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers5 B6 B- j7 e" s, L- T7 W y
• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams$ b [) l& [- z, x% U! {2 t8 `
• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place3 G# ]0 S8 a& |, O
• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
: Y; X( y. c! T) ]- l: L• File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools/ n0 B3 c8 q/ M* A9 R9 H7 q
• Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting) f6 Q" P, `7 K; W
• Mix paint, blend and match colors4 j6 s% q9 w A8 `
• Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns
( n$ Y# {7 Q" }• Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs
% Y. d8 E$ @# A* I: F• Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation

Education and Experience Requirements:
1 o o7 {/ @" r6 |) F4 ^. O• Completion of secondary school is required
~: l+ `* B7 N4 t! c* \• Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program + @0 v/ I! i8 V# C; ^
or- j# T* ?' [5 B6 Z0 N; p- L- ^! y
A combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade ) ]$ h0 I2 c/ k& ]
• Alberta Trade certification for motor vehicle body repair (metal and paint) is compulsory
