自己办移民哪用得着所谓的移民律师，都是白浪费钱，谁能比自己更了解自己的情况呢？

如果条件比较好，自己能办的自然自己就办了。需要找律师的一定有特殊的原因，常常是不为人理解和知道的原因，所以才需要找律师嘛。

For general cases, what a lawyer does is exactly the same as what the applicant has to go through: check the website, download instructions and forms and prepare the documents according to the instructions strictly. Usually, the lawyer will do up a letter to VISA officer, very formal and organized, listing all the documents under different catergories. The officers like to deal with the cases this way, everything is organized and clear. And because lawyers are kind of authority, their work and skills are easily trustworthy. The applicant does your part well, the officer will do their part.
If the applicants do not want to do this part, it is not a bad choice to use a lawyer. It is nothing but a very common service here.

说的一点儿都不错，程序上都一样，需要律师的人通常是案子上有问题，不是程序上有问题。

会打电话核实工作的是什么情况？以前的老板人表面上还好，但背后就不好说。我是作的不爽，辞的。我就是想案子作的好一点，不要电话核实的。

又不是求职，移民局一般不会打电话问你和你老板或同事的关系或业绩如何。它想看得是你的工作经历和经验，以此判断你是否是具备加拿大劳动市场需要的人才（技术移民类），这个是通过你出具的推荐信和罗列的工作经历来判断，推荐信一般要求有工作单位的信头，推荐人的详细联系方式，内容翔实，千万在时间上不要有一点纰漏，这样政府会认为正规的单位不会拿自己的信誉当儿戏，会信任你，一般不会打电话问，如果问也只是确认你是否真的有这个工作经历，不会在意领导对你的评价，要是做的爽谁会来加拿大，他们懂的，只有真正的雇主可能会想了解你离职的原因。所以，别担心，做足材料的准备工作，祝顺利。

When I quit the job, I knew I would not wanna see my boss for the employment letter later on; therefore I asked her to sign one. I typed the letter up; however, it was based on an existing one and there is a minor mistake:" xxx has worked from xx, 20xx to xx, 20xx". It should be "worked" instead of "has worked". I am worried that it appears to be unprofessional with a grammatic mistake like that.

If the letter was printed on business letterhead and signed by the boss then you have passed the "mistakes" to him/her already. even if the immigration officer would be picky on the grammar in the letter, the officer would think it was the boss's mistake not yours. and it looks like not the case at all.

移民调查不会问你做的怎么样而是落实你的确那段时间在哪里工作过。
如果是真实情况，你们老板是不敢撒谎的。
而且如果你证明材料提供的充实，没有必要打电话调查。
比如说T4, paystubs, employment agreement, 还可以让你老板开一个在职证明，阐述清楚你薪水工作职位从什么时候到什么时候在哪里工作的。。。。
