-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new

, I. g3 a+ W3 @+ Z4 Q-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
: Z( t1 k: A0 _! G3 n-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
-        Participate in peer reviews;
-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
-        Programming planned enhancements;
& |) c" ^6 B5 `, a" f! c2 Y0 V* ~: \/ a-        Testing system changes;
. W, Q: Z, T' A# [( Z-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
department’s change management processes;
; y6 q5 w( L  B7 _8 r5 n% k( M. w; y-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
-        Lead short term projects;
-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
9 p: r1 U6 e* T" i* A-        Excellent written communication skills;
-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure
* o% ?/ {! V% K5 r  I6 A. H* e4 Seffective delivery of service; and
" X( w# v, |, u, m/ R" t: w# l-        Understanding of project management.

! _/ U& b2 Q+ E8 B6 Z* z. o; O: tA. Mandatory Requirements
: h) G) h% [& T* H% a$ u(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
, G* `% `2 g7 F7 h6 {  Q) _for incorporating new technology.

(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)

  D  m' `- `+ x# S: \% N) S' s/ L(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

( h* p4 E5 }  X% A4 x( i(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.

! b) b; |2 E+ y- @. ~' ^  c(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers

(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

5 q1 s# G$ C" u9 Z& u2 s  f(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

- IBatis.NET, or MyBatis.NET

- Crystal Reports
- Pdflib
: K' _' _5 T1 B/ Z, P6 M* I1 z- Microsoft Project Portfolio Server

" a7 @7 ?' ]3 r9 {4 M1 \! s; F: f+ k(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
