. n4 b* |  C8 q1 _8 Y, W-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new
technology;
-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
" [: ?  F( B9 s& b" _-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
0 q/ O- W2 ~! z" M-        Participate in peer reviews;
8 Z$ f1 b% J7 U9 @$ u9 X" U-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
-        Programming planned enhancements;
-        Testing system changes;
-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
4 {; G# X- n0 ]department’s change management processes;
-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
0 T  ?5 @/ ^: r2 s9 U8 L; V-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
5 v6 L+ V* H+ A; x2 B9 s- S-        Lead short term projects;
' \+ C" ?+ i, f* N+ z) P-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
5 y! A, [% P1 X-        Excellent written communication skills;
$ y2 E' @: i2 ~! b+ R8 z* F2 k-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure
effective delivery of service; and
-        Understanding of project management.

(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
3 }% z. x, r) Q, A; B* _( Ifor incorporating new technology.

1 A  Y' Y) s  t& e* ?" x( d) W(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)

2 u: A! Q. y* \0 m* v8 l- @, I8 I7 q(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

3 D# d3 w+ D1 b& Z9 T) {(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.

3 c' [5 E! J8 |* X, E5 B(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers

(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

6 j: g; P6 j4 E4 K(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

(h) Experience with one or more of the following tools:

- IBatis.NET, or MyBatis.NET
! ?, ~+ f, ^. }/ G; p! H$ D: v- Nunit
- Crystal Reports
- Pdflib
- Microsoft Project Portfolio Server

(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:

. }* u8 j# Q2 o% f7 F" {  v% w8 w9 @- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
0 C2 l7 n6 [6 C$ V3 V- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
