% W3 e" e5 t, D) M3 t-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new
) U  @% N/ q& b. ^0 ytechnology;
, K$ V3 [* |0 S3 r  y# b' K; m+ W-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
* w) l' k  P0 u-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
; P0 w* e  e: y-        Participate in peer reviews;
1 ~" ^$ ]" o1 V. r-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
# e7 u: x9 }9 X' G-        Programming planned enhancements;
- \2 y8 q% X5 b-        Testing system changes;
6 @; W+ L8 ~9 x4 g-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
department’s change management processes;
-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
-        Lead short term projects;
: L* w6 p! s' m7 M-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
-        Excellent written communication skills;
) M. q* z4 E- Q) \-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure
0 d/ k+ G! q0 Yeffective delivery of service; and
7 H  t6 s/ u' J) {-        Understanding of project management.

A. Mandatory Requirements
; P# X- B# O; I% w(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
for incorporating new technology.

6 t8 C3 }2 _$ Y, L(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)

/ M  O; [( k3 v(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

5 }, b, T( ^$ Z(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.

(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers

(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

B. Desirable Requirements
(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

(h) Experience with one or more of the following tools:
- Infragistics controls

- Nunit
- Crystal Reports

) P4 x$ K( b4 R( @0 B2 E0 F(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:

! H- [  b+ c1 N- `# B( G2 i$ f* }- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
/ R# S! t( B+ `; h+ t- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
