In general, key aspects of the role are:

- Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
/ r3 f0 ?$ P* L, B, R. h6 S9 e- Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards; 5 j$ ]% S9 _2 A1 C" g
- Participate in peer reviews;
5 T7 v" c. m9 P- Create and Maintain technical documentation;
1 l, o, W/ f% x2 `5 \; c- Programming planned enhancements; + E; \: {' ~- @7 e* w, |% B6 @
- Testing system changes; 2 s3 `8 |! L5 @8 D
- Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the

- Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;" A/ A! M/ p) w( m) e% `
- Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers; ( r) Q5 H# A' q
- Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;

A. Mandatory Requirements

(b) Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)3 b6 C0 R3 o1 R

(c) Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

(i) A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:

' T& u+ l. i9 c9 s: @- {- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
/ W! F5 }( I, Q* h- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
