megapixels, the D800 produces unprecedented image quality and resolution
( A" W; e4 l5 w6 owithin a body that boasts revolutionary technological advances. The 3D color

( B z7 J0 v/ G# d) Vin low light are just a few features that are glaring improvements. The D8005 X, ^( _5 d8 J' T& g* q7 n
allows me to concentrate on the light, the composition and my subject
! U7 S [* S3 _; t# k+ l, [# g/ \) jwithout having to think about much else. In years past, wedding photography

9 @$ X4 W! X) A6 y% y: N0 NWhen I’m shooting beauty and jewelry in the studio or fashion on location,9 ?( g# G% @/ I/ |* }

the look of a medium-format camera, but gives me the feel and response of a

Autofocus quickly tracks models in motion. Nikon’s 91K-pixel RGB sensor9 P t: w3 W% [
has noticeable improvements in metering accuracy, while the larger LCD is$ B" N: Q, S" [* C5 |
easier to read. The camera body feels solid and ergonomically simple, while0 P8 G+ @1 |7 K W$ |
also feeling lighter and smaller than previous high-resolution Nikons. New
3 V' t5 A$ I4 a" z9 Q, T! ncameras always inspire me to test and explore, and all the useful features! {6 t% x) i/ W4 ?
in such a compact package will open huge creative possibilities for my highquality0 ]( }, S; a0 a
prints and video.
" v4 t0 m7 F1 t) j3 P eTo me, cameras are more like paintbrushes than technology. The goal is5 C& t- f1 x$ s4 \
not megapixels or technique but the image, and while camera models# d, v( ]- L# L2 t* {3 o# c
are important, they are not the be-all or end-all. But after a lifetime using; @) i Z! [- i
countless cameras, I have found a new best friend. It was not love at first
3 E0 `- Z1 h& H& a+ K6 t3 qsight. The sharpness and detail were initially intimidating, exposing my flaws
6 D& k' c- y" w3 q* Xlike never before. Subtle camera movements showed and differences of
6 Q8 y4 S) }! ^acuity between aperture choices on various lenses were apparent. But now I
0 Q, a) \& @: C; M5 f2 Cam enthralled with this technology. Why? Because the images almost feel as& m/ V6 p# _* w
though they were made with a 4x5 view camera! Special features like timelapse* m" i9 G3 v0 U* C/ F
photography and the improved HD video quality and flexibility also add" j9 X- r" L+ ^; {8 |$ H
tremendously to the camera’s personality. After spending a month with the4 U6 f! B7 _6 A5 v
D800, I’ll never be the same again. Perhaps the best compliment I can express
