allows me to concentrate on the light, the composition and my subject% j3 [. ]8 m/ \
without having to think about much else. In years past, wedding photography

convenience. Now, my wedding portraiture will have a depth it’s never shown8 v9 u: [& x4 Y7 R
before, and my style of shooting will be enhanced rather than compromised,

Autofocus quickly tracks models in motion. Nikon’s 91K-pixel RGB sensor
* y9 D' v6 L- N$ E- hhas noticeable improvements in metering accuracy, while the larger LCD is
, r O. d3 v3 R2 ]easier to read. The camera body feels solid and ergonomically simple, while1 E3 S) F, ~) g" c/ R
also feeling lighter and smaller than previous high-resolution Nikons. New$ U# Y: X" q/ D# N/ a) j! O
cameras always inspire me to test and explore, and all the useful features/ I. u% O. w) q' o0 C. Z# |2 |
in such a compact package will open huge creative possibilities for my highquality5 S% Y) X& j Q. D
prints and video.9 O. K1 h$ C+ C. a+ ?
To me, cameras are more like paintbrushes than technology. The goal is1 N. E( @' V/ o, m2 Y- b+ n
not megapixels or technique but the image, and while camera models. N2 G# E9 d1 m7 c0 B
are important, they are not the be-all or end-all. But after a lifetime using
+ P/ C- s/ I' rcountless cameras, I have found a new best friend. It was not love at first
; b- {3 K" E2 nsight. The sharpness and detail were initially intimidating, exposing my flaws
& W* V% }$ J, @# flike never before. Subtle camera movements showed and differences of
6 N6 e, H4 Q8 y4 Vacuity between aperture choices on various lenses were apparent. But now I7 s* B2 A* F- `
am enthralled with this technology. Why? Because the images almost feel as

photography and the improved HD video quality and flexibility also add
; c, N7 P6 @1 Q9 |" Ktremendously to the camera’s personality. After spending a month with the
( f: J( P4 p6 f/ ]/ b, ^; g. ~& ID800, I’ll never be the same again. Perhaps the best compliment I can express' d: ]9 q( f( a. M) Z
is that now I will think differently about the images I make.

compact and reliable camera system fulfilling the requirements of my personal# [4 Y0 D8 G# x* z+ R
artistic and client expectations. The Nikon D800 will set new standards for

architectural photography. From my hands-on experience I found that they
