within a body that boasts revolutionary technological advances. The 3D color7 _6 e7 Y( u* L. r% G9 P/ L u
matrix metering III, wide dynamic range and the improved AF performance
9 y' j% P: b- `3 } Z& k$ hin low light are just a few features that are glaring improvements. The D8001 Z: p0 n: _' E& v
allows me to concentrate on the light, the composition and my subject
* [6 F* n& w/ P3 Y3 pwithout having to think about much else. In years past, wedding photography

When I’m shooting beauty and jewelry in the studio or fashion on location,

) g' H% s8 A2 j1 O8 aAutofocus quickly tracks models in motion. Nikon’s 91K-pixel RGB sensor
5 S" u" n* J# g' X, T0 Q9 ]has noticeable improvements in metering accuracy, while the larger LCD is9 r: j9 C4 Z1 n1 y8 X7 e( }
easier to read. The camera body feels solid and ergonomically simple, while# H, f/ V1 O- B) k L
also feeling lighter and smaller than previous high-resolution Nikons. New. q3 U/ G* A3 H/ P: x; K# n) m( u
cameras always inspire me to test and explore, and all the useful features6 r* Q* {' u8 U6 g
in such a compact package will open huge creative possibilities for my highquality
/ \# }/ U# M1 ]3 v7 rprints and video.& }$ U' v1 `) w% A6 u/ r
To me, cameras are more like paintbrushes than technology. The goal is, b0 l1 y, u; F" x
not megapixels or technique but the image, and while camera models3 {& b7 N8 p/ j+ M* l; [6 X
are important, they are not the be-all or end-all. But after a lifetime using) y8 v0 }* |# ~8 N3 x. ~# T. m& [
countless cameras, I have found a new best friend. It was not love at first/ ]+ q6 ?7 }6 |# h/ u. x" I% {, K
sight. The sharpness and detail were initially intimidating, exposing my flaws
X8 J4 M2 J9 wlike never before. Subtle camera movements showed and differences of* z5 ^/ L! @3 k8 l) G0 v g
acuity between aperture choices on various lenses were apparent. But now I
/ K4 O5 E( l3 S+ }# A/ }: B8 b" b7 qam enthralled with this technology. Why? Because the images almost feel as8 N) {6 `) R1 ]% p2 D; s
though they were made with a 4x5 view camera! Special features like timelapse
8 w' B. D7 V+ @6 }photography and the improved HD video quality and flexibility also add
& n4 X6 |+ }# i. R; A7 @tremendously to the camera’s personality. After spending a month with the' d& N+ K3 o/ r# P6 f0 u
D800, I’ll never be the same again. Perhaps the best compliment I can express

As a modern architectural photographer I am always looking for a lightweight,$ }% M% G! b, `8 K0 T# P

clean, clear and sharp files. This camera gives me the photographic flexibility
8 x( R9 |) a1 xto work at unusual shooting locations and capture images in an exceptional& l" m& O9 p% }7 n
range of light. It definitely takes my photographic versatility and image quality
