Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary:
- M6 V3 m& B" F* H' oWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. n- q: \. z2 w

Key Responsibilities:
* Z+ C2 R+ t w1 m• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
: i! ^% {! i) z" h6 M* u• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
6 G# K' x) W6 Q8 k% e6 U; d• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately- |/ q% } N7 _% B0 m- s
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter: r7 k# a8 p& |1 Y% P0 U
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
: P6 {# `; }* k/ }* y' G; e6 v• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker8 w. U2 I S' h7 K2 P9 g P. X
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
( r. k. }& O! U: }4 l% s• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Report to ISP Program Manager

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
$ `3 D( r+ |' M' O• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
5 p) |) S# O D& l2 B+ m# \• Good English writing and oral communication skills
& ]& r0 X5 [: i* r) q& z• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
& @* C( p0 w9 q; e• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• Knowledge of immigrant services

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
f% F. E' g: o: {$ ~• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment- t; T) M1 c W: E. P, L
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
