# x+ _5 u- Q6 Q7 t! ^Position Title:  Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker1 V; K! I# K' H9 J7 H
Hours of Work: Part-time (21 hours per week)

. g7 L" T( Z: F* z4 F# E+ \# b3 Z9 a, bPosition Summary: 0 C5 w# f) T5 i6 q% O( o
Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
; Q2 P+ W4 F) A•        Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
+ v1 `! K) j! {' w6 _9 m" ?, D•        Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
8 Z$ ?- Y7 ?6 w/ B1 t! P•        Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
7 y0 x4 e2 r) {7 c•        Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
. E( f. B* `2 s•        Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents4 ?, r! J1 @6 Z3 b
•        Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
3 W; J& L: c# A: v4 E•        Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events; ~& T4 t% M4 \' F0 g
•        Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events* \' g5 k$ h/ w
•        Keep the reception area tidy and clean
" M3 A& t' ?3 i•        Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters2 I( A) ?( O( _, c1 j" G
•        Maintain front counter service files$ o1 `( d, S8 ~. L6 a4 V% w2 t( j
•        Perform general office duties as assigned
! d( L5 d4 l, Y( x' J  F: |4 y•        Report to ISP Program Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
9 I, [+ i: l4 d( ]: B2 W( w•        Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person; }' s0 \! s- N6 M
•        Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
3 [/ J3 p; H$ C/ A* m) [•        Good English writing and oral communication skills. E& Q* L4 ]& Q: p/ [
•        Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
& h" H. U0 v/ @, t9 E- r•        Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook" K! W' q8 g  i
•        Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately 3 S) x( l) L/ c) Y5 d
•        Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds
! H( u# o3 g8 k0 ^) S0 `•        Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment
* }, ?9 ^1 \' n3 M# s. A•        Knowledge of immigrant services

Qualifications:
& T$ W( i- r( V: G5 }0 T3 l$ I2 q•        2-4 years of office and clerical experience 9 [2 ?4 p  E( Z
•        Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
; a! P+ ?/ _) ?•        Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
( z$ v+ r" w5 u5 x4 H•        Ability to work well under minimal supervision" B1 W2 L' ~$ G7 Y
