Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. ) \/ G s* r* S7 f( a

Key Responsibilities:
! `& S0 A7 o A• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person- }) e0 h0 w1 m5 O5 l% @" G
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST+ }3 I5 ~+ N% ]
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately( z! \4 d' o/ q. f$ i- _
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
7 g3 N, s$ U) v$ H- y3 O- f• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
0 T5 o8 d9 Y$ }2 }" w- F, j3 ~• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker5 ]5 J' h& b3 U
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
" {9 G( ]7 Q) w4 x; D4 f• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters5 Z' Z* [6 I6 q
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:9 ~! {: P: u5 T" W5 F3 ?- K7 ]
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person% l1 c/ ~, @# v3 p6 g
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset v# R) Q1 T& {5 y6 C& d6 j/ f
• Good English writing and oral communication skills& n! W( N9 ~3 \7 H4 S& w: f. V
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
. r: j3 `3 Y, E- H( h# {: V• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook' W: o) u! g ^/ e; `( S
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately 7 [! H1 f" s# E: G8 Q/ ^
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds# Z+ r+ s% K' ?7 E4 A' ~
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment; |: U; I! f' n
• Knowledge of immigrant services

( P; |% `' l- h/ J4 Z3 k$ X6 b* X2 r• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 5 e3 j) W* `, p# ]( B6 Y d
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
5 W* y& _' R7 I, @1 t# G, g* e• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism* T1 f/ \0 O2 T% r/ d y
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
