- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
; t4 r* ~6 [8 K9 M; V: N6 S7 m, p$ z- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
: d9 N1 T* b: [! y: W+ m b- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties: F1 F" \! i) Z
- provide volunteers for various programs
1 H* O3 t: G' r6 D" {9 d7 B; p. B- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual% T! x! _; Q' \. S) [$ M
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
8 U6 w' W0 {0 J' C% @3 p- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities, B( O: Q5 w R# B! G5 X
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services8 p- n7 N) ?+ Z1 |
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
0 c% h: s& W* R1 U/ E% A. `- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
* \. _: r% _5 x7 o Z( I- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed

+ C: V4 N. Q A1 G; b5 k. F0 [- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events
: i# t# D) u6 ?. X- Z- development and distribution of a volunteer manual ) k( L2 `( c1 H6 i2 C( i" d' E
- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers : Z" b7 W. s# |* i9 u/ s5 H
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
! n. _! V5 p3 S/ J( U( w- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis ; t5 f( H3 p0 f x9 H$ k
- evaluations
( ]1 [9 Z8 r# r6 v$ i- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre4 [" `, Z# z0 r6 S8 S5 F

- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education' r6 X7 I( |8 O0 ^4 s% O
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
