- submit information for community news 5 W* p5 P- ]/ v
- provide volunteers to update membership database/ d. d. r' Y, e' u
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
0 L* p" d: e! n% W3 V x- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
* g7 }3 m$ B# f- g9 C* H- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
) Y2 m3 r, J/ r+ G- provide volunteers for various programs
' E: q" A: Y4 s& o3 s- {- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual; W a3 k6 k5 h, \9 P7 N
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation' R2 [1 p- ^# Y3 p/ |3 _6 p
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
0 W/ W& o( H1 @- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services, G- x- J9 r6 D: O u5 I
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports+ D' N$ |# f0 w5 G7 U" S0 W
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed3 e+ T% Q5 H0 ?( z# G! _2 b
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
- K) f* Y% O& M, ~- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
: E, Z$ E2 U' T" d4 [1 o# i5 p- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events 0 L6 u: u& n* Z: `' h5 H, f
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual ) [! A* e$ c2 `) ]: T- Z
- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers / N) E+ |7 _* A- n
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers : `4 r+ q" f2 X
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis " z5 h+ T& r' N+ G l$ y# K* ?) Z
- evaluations

" N9 j8 W& ?2 l Q, `0 a- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
% u8 D$ ]- X8 v, n6 [- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
2 ^5 ] w+ l3 d. G' O% {, R0 e1 N# h- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services# n) I5 E2 z! `
- leadership skills" K, \. {+ s& `# `2 N/ E1 j4 J
