7 u. U; n6 E; b7 k- @5 L- provide volunteers to update membership database$ l. `! o: {" \' Y
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
3 {) p2 V! k5 {2 i* |9 X- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
3 P* z' Y! a6 I8 I2 m+ `* W- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties4 W% F; v' w- F) ]& Z
- provide volunteers for various programs 7 G- S( y6 g% F3 f: U K
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual: Z7 q. C* ^3 a3 S
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
% s; [# A; i+ O3 k" P9 ^; Y- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
1 u+ y; n# V0 h, }! e0 J- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
3 q- N0 b! S( H1 p j- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports( `' e( e: [ Z4 ~. q3 P, P( R
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
( `1 o( C8 M; Z% }- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed9 f! X% l: h4 |- }5 |0 Z9 q
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
5 `7 ~2 L% b$ }7 d& P" j$ ]* D- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers # F# A6 Q* Q# n6 ]" c% l" t; T
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
+ |8 J( Z7 y4 W6 i; r1 o, w- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

Qualifications
$ {" X6 m5 q* @% ^7 n8 L- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
. \4 f, D; X, N/ b$ z2 }8 x5 y- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
/ d) a) n' b& _5 a- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services& O5 ?+ u- ^+ X! o/ }; x/ d
- leadership skills5 O7 o' l: h$ X* p3 C6 x
- management and supervision skills* q! p0 `$ m/ H. e) L
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
