Position Title: Volunteer Coordinator

- submit information for community news ! u1 {0 Z* C" g; @
- provide volunteers to update membership database P) M3 B8 r3 ]" |
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers% m/ x, O- D& @: K0 D# W3 c
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
6 p2 ~: _. w* {$ `- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties* y+ S0 E; P* q; R) F" ^) q
- provide volunteers for various programs
3 o a1 n5 r' d- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual% O( w/ H0 }& w9 s2 R" d" V; c* `: R6 m
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation; }7 L* g% r* }9 Q! ^0 c
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
8 j v* W+ H- _& X: Y1 d T- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services) g, {: m$ q: k" }- J% t
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports* {3 l$ V) [5 D E4 W: t( a
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
( T" e) Q4 O/ S' {- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed$ b m- U( i) P. t
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)& a4 b8 h( a' o2 A
- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers 7 d9 G! P e5 E) X2 b
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis / G7 U- b( W2 h0 q& w- w
- evaluations

Qualifications( x b8 ?. L1 h* C, ?
- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education. B. [' `2 Z ^3 M W+ p
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills' }) p, s( h1 s1 W6 Y
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services; o0 r- q" d+ `5 q$ R( J
- leadership skills

- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
