• Supervise and co-ordinate sales staff and cashiers 8 m# g! _+ _1 h
• Assign sales workers to duties and prepare work schedules
0 d2 G$ w, [" \% ]* z# h• Authorize payments by cheque and the return of merchandise 0 b2 W7 i( K. \- L
• Sell merchandise to customers , X) Q2 d' m$ h/ v: _
• Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages
) u9 P3 z5 E5 M/ g# M• Maintain specified inventory and order merchandise 3 P" a- h4 c' ^$ ~) l" F' H
• Prepare reports regarding sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters " @# |. @) {9 d1 a8 j/ j( p
• Hire and train or arrange for the training of new sales staff
