CALGARY — A teen girl was taken to Foothills Hospital in potentially life-threatening condition Monday morning after a head-on collision that involved a "complicated extrication" near Chestermere.- j7 ]9 @) |3 V; _, h W. R8 l X

At around 8:30 a.m., RCMP, Chestermere fire crews and Calgary EMS personnel were called to Highway 791 just east of Calgary after a pick-up truck and smaller car crashed head-on, said EMS spokesman Stuart Brideaux.3 c: V1 v5 Z# x$ s9 B
+ \" F: f! T8 S1 I7 C( j+ eThe female driver in her mid-teens, who was the lone occupant of the small car, sustained serious and potentially life-threatening injuries and needed to be extricated from the vehicle by fire crews.
