关于EI maternity benefits和EI parental benefits的申请有一段这样的说明

You meet the specific criteria for receiving EI maternity or parental benefit

  z& P+ K6 a0 u9 f5 ]' V/ WYou have accumulated at least 600 hours of insurable employment during the qualifying period

7 x0 q% [  _) _% h0 h2 KThe qualifying period is the shorter of:

the 52-week period immediately before the start date of your EI period; or
" J. J2 m4 z4 ?; W. t" @% @- rthe period since the start of a previous EI benefit period, if that benefit period started during the last 52 weeks.

不知道大家怎么理解qualifying period 这句话的意思。

1 K! Z: c1 W) |+ ]9 C$ C; u由于按照该网页的说明，EI maternity benefits可以在生育前申请的，而EI parental benefits则要生育后才可以申请的。
5 m; l9 W6 |5 v其实是想要弄清楚的是在如果生育前申请了EI maternity benefits，那么生育后 申请EI parental benefits的时候要满足的qualifying period 到底是怎么计算的呀。

你在网上申请M的时候会有提示问你是否也同时申请 P leave，你答是就可以一起申请下来了，省的Ｐ leave之后还单独申请。

那么生小孩前可以申请Ｐ leave吗？

预产期前一个还是前两个月就可以申请了，好几年前的，不太记得清楚，是同时申请M跟P EI的，我那时就是连着给50周，前两周的等候期是没钱的，
