% Y: }" I1 w8 s2 KPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. ! Key Responsibilities:
- W8 }2 x% X7 o2 s3 h• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
% n, P$ t9 ~ [ S3 X• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST w. W2 C1 b+ V! S
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately3 G" a, a6 W* O0 U `3 _! F
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter8 F$ z. d1 F/ s6 v5 B$ P
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
5 n) }; F" K5 S5 C) I3 Q• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
" N$ G r5 w! m4 G+ n+ a• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events" ?' w2 a- G1 {$ D
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events2 q+ g0 X4 F8 z) I
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
8 F- }8 s+ ]7 ~• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

" D* v# Y" w; {: f, ]• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
. F. L/ s3 m, A• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
! q) s# q; Z# H+ v• Good English writing and oral communication skills
. o7 A7 ` j* @• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients' X6 H; w2 Y3 i; o* l W6 ]
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds6 F3 E# V# W) ?3 P
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:& u7 `0 c, L( _; ]$ p
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
5 G& \( b, u9 p4 @# @• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment$ H( R- p, B! j r$ P9 s" s* Q
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism' l: h* x+ U P& r3 \% i" U# n9 W
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
