SPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
& h: t5 k) n" A+ }9 |9 `: H• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person2 O. n5 I# j, G5 {! w0 n& C6 K
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
8 U H4 a" v. o( ^9 _! P5 w; ~• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
0 {8 v1 Q8 F8 M* ~, U• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter+ n% c+ h4 ?6 l \* R8 s+ z
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
0 y" D- s |- `4 h* J, m" G• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
. D; j) p' p* g. ]$ A• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events7 g/ I) I: Q( \, \/ X
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events; s# |& f) [8 i& L, J
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
- [- |6 s g( C! W: p. {• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
$ o7 c- U6 o3 M, w• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
( X4 Y3 o$ _! @; L• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset; R9 P7 `" [% h4 c" [
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
1 g" k2 g$ Y; D! Q8 U: u1 w3 `8 k• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients f. F; d0 j4 _ Q( ^* `
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

Qualifications:3 f& E- ?9 r4 A' `
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
* O2 j3 X" x! K) o" a4 b6 Z0 O• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment3 l. p0 ~- ^! t
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
2 K6 w1 f$ I* F% o; w• Ability to work well under minimal supervision# S) a! Y: I9 x Y+ D' Z# ^
