Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. , k% }7 a1 J0 z0 D

• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
( |! J# [ |/ L* ]$ U: d5 I• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately: R+ N( J9 A! d5 ]' @3 k8 G
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
7 M8 i- c, c) t( q• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
* q/ E9 `8 D& n• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
+ o/ o' s' X5 g# B" ^5 F3 J1 l: ^• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events$ V# S- |8 y6 R, U
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events) @! [: {. Q2 j0 b
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean% i1 \4 n% h H& k
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters- B% W# Y2 [8 t/ i5 Y
• Maintain front counter service files2 o3 ^5 k1 |4 a3 O

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person) X! T* L5 k9 \1 m3 }
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset

• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients7 `8 |& w9 ^. d' C$ r; V; v
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook5 `( F. p$ l/ B |" [2 Z
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience

• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism0 {# X8 P( `) @5 M$ ]
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
