Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms over much of Alberta today. Thunderstorms will form on the foothills and in the Peace country this afternoon and move to the northeast and east. The main threat with these storms will be strong winds, large hail and heavy rain. There is also a slight risk of a tornado over Central Alberta in the late afternoon and early evening. Strong thunderstorms are expected to last into the evening hours and may reach as far as the Alberta/Saskatchewan border by midnight.4 A! c1 W' r/ v, k
