Development Announcement?
1 s5 t/ l. s* ?- T; P4 v# lI’m told it’s possible we’ll see an “in development” announcement sometime in 2012 for a large megapixel DSLR from Canon. I have heard both 39mp and 46mp prototype(s) are out in the field.# C, ]' P- K# W. ^6 j- M

In development announcements seem to be getting more popular with Canon and their high end products. As we’ve seen from the EOS-1D C and EF 200-400 f/4L IS 1.4X, it seems to allow them a lot of latitude in testing and helps with public relations. It also stops sites like this speculating on arrival of new products. :), O' X) M; E$ t4 U% D
