Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

9 |1 O/ O0 F% J ~ k/ W# ]- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment
' _9 m' W' U! V) x- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements6 H+ h R' _7 W8 X
- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
6 m" a+ j% \& k- q* {- V m- Select type and size of pipe required
' l: x3 o; r# B/ I- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
8 v4 E( t. K6 z- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
2 R1 x B- O) l P* \- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
5 Y1 e3 e. Q9 W- L- Test system for leaks using testing equipment

- Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program

Required Qualifications8 W. ], v) p* c( q7 E$ x. G
/ {1 Y. L4 }0 K& A- Completion of secondary school
! h1 |8 [9 O' G- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
1 \6 Y( H5 D! |& e" _- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals+ X1 q1 ]6 }: h/ }& W/ ?
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
) O2 m, Q' B) r- Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset7 J0 h6 b5 y$ j, M. e% s- o' [
- Safety tickets are considered an asset
