Job Description:

•        To minimize the costs of operation in the Front Office Department while maximizing revenues.
0 i, D) ]6 w. ~# a2 H  P8 ^•        Oversee hotel security requirements.
9 n# i" F! }' M! O0 ^9 T; {•        To recruit, train and develop Front Office personnel and provide direction, support, mentor and motivate as necessary.
& l' |! N! u! R( z' |; p8 }7 q•        To maintain or exceed the established standards of operation.
9 o1 d0 @1 f* h% ^7 E•        To ensure the assets of the Front Office Department are maintained and controlled in accordance with the standards and objectives of the Hotel.; S/ C. Q. P) V0 H0 \/ d: g
•        To communicate effectively with other Departments Heads to levels of business and type of business.
$ t$ W, C8 s" @& u' ~6 e•        To ensure positive closure to any negative situation. Handling and resolving guest complaints and unwanted guests.9 W+ Y4 O! n4 S! H; {/ N% Y# @
•        Be able to work all shifts including night audit when business levels are warranted. I.e. working weekends, covering sick leave.0 B+ H9 R- i! ]0 r% J
•        Weekly scheduling of the front desk staff. - E3 g6 M8 K" N3 e
•        Manage rates on a daily basis for short and long term.
& c- @- W, V7 v( R$ A5 n" T•        Perform 3 month and one year evaluations and/or when needed. 6 t  V9 f6 U( J- n( ?8 @
•        Leading and coaching to provide exceptional guest service. 5 K: t' G: ?* C; D  B! V
•        Ensuring the safety and well being of our guests and co-workers by having working knowledge of crisis and emergency procedures and that all front desk staff are also aware.1 N; ^  Y" E# _! V8 N4 ]3 M8 Q
•        Attend Cluster meetings.
/ G- p- R+ \& e, {8 x4 Q•        Complete month end report, ROB, Cluster calendar, tracking, forecasting, source of business and any other revenue related report.0 B$ E$ a4 f2 o# a" C# Q2 x
•        Handle PMS computer problems in each department 1 X' I! `  l: v  ^: T) {
•        Handle any issue with the 4 different interfaces : PBX call accounting, PBX messages, voice mail and movies
. \8 y! I( A% g& s1 [! v•        Handle any issues dealing with high speed internet in guest rooms or business center7 B  N$ v6 R* h
•        Maintaining front desk floats, and FOM float 6 J0 [! O8 o7 S2 E& L$ W# N
•        Any other tasks assigned by the General Manager/ V  b! m/ q( V' G

6 Y7 }; `1 ]5 U' [( u! G  H•1-2 year of Management/ Supervisory experience in a Limited Service Property or Full Service Property  F3 a1 R2 Z2 m  _
• Ability to deal with all levels of management, staff and businesses in a professional manner;
" d3 j) a3 r" z9 c5 [  w• Ability to lead and develop;% M- y+ r; H/ q# m& Y* a
• Background in the development & execution of business and operating budgets;) W  v2 ]3 I+ Z! I8 W$ v/ M
• Excellent oral & written communication skills; Strong organizational skills and be detailed orientated;
- ~/ m# k, C/ U' B" W) Q7 F5 C$ q• Ability to work within deadlines;+ y, M& ]2 i8 U# z0 @% p/ ?, m
• High level of creativity and innovation;
